Walking day by day through life with Jesus, being continually transformed by the Spirit of God, is of utmost importance to me. This is the focus of my life, and I would expect that this would also be the focus of any future partner.
I received Jesus into my life at age 5 and was called to ministry at age 7. As the living out of this calling has developed over the years, I have been involved in various aspects of Christian ministry, including music ministry, children's and youth ministry, teaching, visitation, care ministry, prayer ministry, etc. The ministry I do now is an "out of the box" type of ministry, with some aspects of it being done within the church I fellowship with, while other aspects are done in the wider community through the work that I do and as I connect with various people in my day to day life. I actively seek to minister hope and healing to those who are experiencing brokenness.
Family is very important to me. My four children are all grown and away from home (although my youngest son still returns home from time to time, as he is still going through post secondary education, and my second youngest son who is a missionary overseas comes home for brief times when he is on furlough). I spend time with my two grandchildren every week, as well as give some support to my elderly dad. I expect that any future partner would honour my family relationships, and that I would welcome his family as well.
I am not interested in "hooking up" or in any relationship that would violate God's standards of sexual purity. I am looking for godly friendship and fellowship, and in discovering how God may lead in regards to relationship together.
