- About Me
- I grew up on the east coast of VA, a little vagabond surf rat kid. I've always had a close relationship with nature and traveled extensively, even before joining the military. My two sons were born while I was enrolled at University. In order to take care of my family, I joined the military, instead of finishing my bachelor's degree. After ending two tours in the US Army, once my two sons were all growed up, I moved off grid & started a regenerative, edible landscape business (Medible Gardens), near Asheville, NC. When Covid hit, I lost the bizz & spent some time traveling. I felt a calling to visit the Four Corners, found a nice little job & stayed in AZ for a while. I recently moved back to my home town, primarily to help my aging mother. I'm planning to homestead again, perhaps in the Blue Ridge. I’d love to find a partner up to the challenge.
- First Date
- It depends on the time of year. Who doesn't like a nature walk and a good picnic? Perhaps, that's a better second or third date. I'd need to know more about the person I'm taking on a first date to set it up right. Whatever we do, it should just be a back drop to making a connection, that's safe yet interesting, but not too distracting. A balloon ride might be an exciting first date, but probably not the best way to connect with someone. Then again, I've done much crazier things than that. That's why I would pray first and let God decide.
