Roast chestnuts are also pretty good. Humour and good fun are very important for me. I like and enjoy myself, and I like and enjoy my home - and its location - which gives me peace and quiet, comfort, and enormous personal freedom.
I also have s "serious" side. I believe that total freedom is a primary aspect of the Human soul and of the Divine: for, we are all in the image of likeness of God. So, as our inner freedom is unbounded, I don't think there are (or ought to be) any expectations or obligations in our relationships with God and with each other. I believe God's love is unconditional (that is, it is unlimited: no "small print"; No "Added Terms and Conditions"). And we are all free to love in the same way.
As (real) love is bound-less, there is absolutely no requirement for punishment or judgement or condemnation in any of our relationships, including our relationship with the Divine. Jesus Christ forgave/forgives us even while we were//are//would yet be "sinners". His sacrifice, his love, is therefore - NOT - conditional upon (our) "obedience" to any law, moral code, or any other expectation or obligation. Irrespective of our often confused feelings, the vicissitudes our human experience, we are, always and forever, inwardly (i.e., spiritually) free. The mission of Jesus was to set us free - to give us back to ourselves - and invite us to live as freely and creatively as he did.
This was/is always an invitation, and never a command or an obligation.
When people finally "get" this, fully absorb this wisdom, we happily wave goodbye to existential fear, or "angst". Life is freely enjoyed, rewarding and fulfilling.
- First Date
- Freely discuss this with my dating partner, keeping my own options open. I would simply hope that this date generates an opportunity to enjoy meeting and experiencing something of our unique energy of connection. For a first encounter, I do not see the need for anything more than enjoying a walk, a coffee or a meal out. But I would gladly consider more imaginative ideas, if presented.
