Hey! Let me introduce myself. I'm Xenia, I'm a 3rd year student and I also work as an English teacher. Actually, language learning is my biggest passion. It's not just about grammar or vocabulary, it's about new cultures and their outlook.
I ended up on this website, because the most interesting, and engaging people I've ever met were committed Christians. At first I thought it was a coincidence. But then I realized it wasn't. Also I like how many new ideas, and insights I get from people who contemplate.
I was brought up in a religious family. My grandad was a deacon, some of my aunts have been in a monastery for a while. So basically God and Christianity was a common topic of discussion. I don't think religious people are better than atheists, I just noticed that I've got more in common with those who believe.
Despite the fact that I've been baptized since childhood, when I was a teenager I doubted a lot. I always knew that God exists, I just doubted in Orthodox christian community itself. Well it can be off putting sometimes. But then I realized that life without it is doomed, and hopeless. So I came back.
Actually, I just really would like to meet some like minded people. I don't know where it'll bring me. But I'm sure if I meet the right person, we could build something significant together.
Oh also if you've been to Asia, please let's discuss it. At the moment it's what I'm interested in. (I don't mean kpop or anime, rather some cultural, and social aspects.)
