- I'm in search of a gentleman who's a born-again, vibrant follower of Christ. I've been described by friends as being insightful, talented and totally dependent on Christ. I have a sense of humor that just won't quit; who says holy living and being fun-loving has to be mutually exclusive? I've been a follower of Christ since October 1987. Prior to that, I was skeptical about Christianity because of the Bakker/Swaggart scandals earlier that year. However, I learned what happens when mere men are put on pedestals. Those pedestals will crumble and people who put them on there, will be crushed beneath the rubble. When sin causes us to crumble and fall, Christ mends and raises us. A potential suitor who had a strong, loving relationship with both the Heavenly Father and his earthly father is the kind of man for me. It's the best of both worlds! However, I have no expectations of perfection from you, especially on this side of eternity. I've seen the differences between those from homes with a father present and those from fatherless homes. The former are often taught how to treat a woman. Occasionally, there are exceptions, such as Dr. Ben Carson and Justice Clarence Thomas. Both grew up fatherless in the midst of adversities, yet became Godly, accomplished men. On the other hand, there are some from homes with husbands/fathers present, yet were emotionally distant when their children needed them most, even if they gave them anything money can buy. Some even go into a life of crime like those from fatherless homes. I enjoy Bible study, Christian music, oldies, Motown, classic rock, the American songbook, sewing, photography, classic movies, reading and listening to radio talk shows. My desire is to be the kind of woman The Lord wants me to be and would like to meet a guy desiring to be the kind of man The Lord wants him to be. Sorry, no separated men.

- It'd be great if you'll come to church with me and we could go out for a meal afterwards. Going to Detroit's Redford Theatre would be a great place for a date. They specialize in showing classic movies and hold Stooge Fests each spring and fall; yes I, (along with my daughter) are among the few women in the world who likes them! A ride on the Detroit Princess is another great one. Even a picnic for two in the park would be special. Frankenmuth, Cedar Point and Michigan Adventure are great places to go, though I've never been to Michigan Adventure before.
