Hi.
My name is Jen. I've never been very good at these things, I just never know what to put.
First, let me just be straight forward about this. I am a Christian. I was raised a Christian in a non-denominational house. We went to church when I was young, but after moving to North Carolina, we stopped and usually watched regular TV church services and programs like Charles Stanley, Joel Osteen, and the 700 club, so I am not a devout church goer. I will occasionally go, but typically only on special occasions. This by no means, means that I am unwilling to go to church, or do not want to go to church.
I am a reserved, but fun loving person. I am game for anything, and always willing to try something at least once. I am a little shy, especially around new people, but it doesn't last long. I love a good movie or a good book. I don't usually do too much outdoors, but that is mostly because no one in my family is particularly 'outdoorsy'. I've always been interested in going camping and hiking, and other things of that nature, but never had anyone to do it with. I don't follow sports, but hey, if that's your thing, I'll root for your team (as long as you can explain the game to me); and, as long as you don't mind a sci-fi marathon every once in a while.
I am looking for an God fearing, upstanding Christian man. I am looking for someone that is kind, honest, and gentle. But, I am also looking for someone that is adventurous and fun loving. Someone that can make me laugh, and will appreciate a good joke. Someone that will show and receive affection, but will wait for marriage for a physically intimate relationship. Someone that still believes in traditional values, and will be able to lead the family that we can make together.
I am looking for someone that I can spend the rest of my life with. My parents have been married for over 30 years, and I know that they will be together for the rest of their lives. I want that, too.
Also, I really haven't done much dating. And, when I say not much, I mean none. So far, I have been working on finishing my education and establishing my career. Now that I have graduated, and have a stable job, I am ready to find my marriage partner. Before, I didn't have the time to be able to put the effort into any type of real relationship, so I didn't even try. That wouldn't have been fair to either one of us. Something as important as finding the person you will be with the rest of your life, deserves your full attention.
