Thanksgiving & Christmas:Meat or vegetables?

I ask this question based on newpaper aricles with people who have family members who are vegetarians & they do'nt like the idea of eating only vegetables on Christmas & a vegan guy i know from my job who says he wo'nt even eat on the same plate that meat had ever touched-even once! My qusetion is if you like meat only or vegetables only & wants to be with others who have this problem with food, what would you do? I asked this Because if you God will for you to be with someone, the other person you like meat or the other way around will end up being a little serious problem at the table.:eat:

I can't imagine circumstances under which somebody would insist you change your eating habits for them... but then I think of one of my teacher's, who is a vegetarian, and is always bringing it up and talking down to everybody about how "Pigs and cows would rather live" and such. I was raised eating meat, but I now abstain from pork or beef ever since I kept encountering trucks carrying pigs over and over every time I went to see DontHitThatMark. It is not the death that bothers me, but the inhumane and terrifying conditions under which the animals live. I'd be all about eating animals if all were treated well. What some manufactured animals go through is pretty messed up, especially the kind of turkeys that are sold in supermarkets.

I think in my own Thanksgiving, if I ran the show, no meat would be involved. What better way to celebrate thankfulness than to NOT pay into an industry that does ridiculous, inhumane things to turkeys? Or buy a kosher/certified humane turkey if somebody absolutely had to have turkey. Costs way more, but I'd rather support local farmers and turkeys that are raised in non-horror-movie-esque conditions.

Oh, and Godslamb, DontHitThatMark probably truly is the best-smelling dude I've ever dated or been close friends with. Whether that has to do with vegetarianism or good grooming, I can't say for sure which, as both are present.
