I think she clearly stated from the Bible, which were are suppose to believe, that if he can't be honest with his wife then it is not true repentance. I mean after all withholding truth is still lying. I also agree that the husband should be approached and not the wife. I mean for all you know it could be a misunderstanding and could have just been the appearance of evil, which we are suppose to avoid, but since the situation is in regards to his sin then he needs to be approached like Pixy was talking about in Matthew. This can not be argued with or disagreed with. it is a real life account that will get you to think. About 10 years ago I had to deal with this.I worked in a machine shop with all guys. the 2nd in charge was a good friend of mine. His wife and he would invite me over. Now the company hired a female machinist who liked married men. Well this guy had an affair with her and became very mean to me. matbe he was feeling guility???? Who knows????? he was tring to make me quite. I refused. i would not tell his wife because I could lose my job and have nothing to pay for my house or car with. I had to take the back seat and let somebody else tell the wife. The guy did get fired in the end. No it was not worth telling the wife anything. real life real answers It is not as clear cut as some of you think. advice is cheap, are you hurting somebody? let God deal with it. Post Reply

This happened to me twice by the same guy. I had to keep telling him at the time, that I didn't believe in commiting adultry, because of what God's Word says. He didn't agree with me, but he has bugged me since the second time. Just curious how you would have handled that situation. Post Reply

Our own comfort should not be a deciding factor in dealing with sin. It's a lie than man has no responsibility to obey Matthew 18. There is no clause in there that says, "Only obey this if you're comfortable with it. If you're not comfortable, then just pray and be passive." We must be careful to not mix in our own ideas with what the Word actually says. We should not be adding to Scripture. Post Reply

I was suspennded a day without pay for filing a harassment complaint against the guy. he got even. It is easy to say well you should have done something. no, it iis my word only. get fired and sued by the accused would not have gone over well. he became a different person and was tring to force me to get fired. the company laayed me off several years later. I am on there no hire list. I paid for it. it was more than just an affair involved. This woman who liked married men was a real piece of work. she was a real man eater. I wanted to run as far away from her as I could. Post Reply
