Admin	Cut to the Chase Posted : 20 Oct, 2013 07:30 PM What do you think when guys cut to the chase and suggest they'd like meeting in person in the initial email? It's what I've been doing lately so I was just wondering what your take on it is if/when guys do this, since my feeling is it could either be a really good idea or a really bad idea. I still make it a point to be funny and interesting and show I read their profile and not be pushy and everything, but I'm done with just sending open ended emails that go nowhere, even when they do get responded to. Chat a while in email on cdff (a couple weeks maybe), once you are comfortable then switch to personal email and IM'ing (for a couple more weeks). By then you should either be comfortable enough to talk on the phone, if it gets to that point I will let him know I am calling from a blocked number the first few calls. Once comfortable with that I will call unblocked. THEN you can start the conversation of meeting in person. It takes quiet a few conversations for some red flags to come up. Safety is always the preferred route. Take your time. If a man is truly interested he will be willing to wait until you feel comfortable. If the above mentioned process is too long and he cannot wait, then he is not the man for you. Post Reply
