Any really SMART GIRLS?

I think this is a question for a really smart girl; I was feeding after it quit raining and noticed floating in four tiny puddles some 'purple stuff' I couldn't tell what it was...it looked like a extraterrestrial organic life form! (ok maybe I've been listening to to much coast to coast late night radio)

So I went in the house and got my glasses and a powerful magnifying glass. It is some kind of tiny little purple larvae with lots of legs.

So what do you think? ...Lady bug larvae? Potato bug babies?...anyone know?

Hypogastrura are a type of springtails. There are maybe 30 or so varieties of springtails. They come in all sorts of colours and there are few varieties which are purplish and very similar to each other. Unless someone is an entomologist, I think that it would be difficult to make a distinction there. I'm certainly no expert in bug identification =)
