View Profile History	What do you want in a man Posted : 4 Dec, 2011 11:57 AM Always a good question to ask, even though most of the gals may not feel they want to answer it again here if they've already done so at varioius times previously, asked by other guys in past posts, as well as, in the bodies of their profiles too. But I, like you, would enjoy hearing some of the "basics" again from the hearts of some of the gals here, even if they HAVE answered this particular type of question here before and/or in their profiles. So ... how 'bout it gals ... will some of you please answer this typical question again for this brother in Christ? Love, Steve Post Reply
View Profile History	What do you want in a man Posted : 10 Dec, 2011 09:31 PM I have no problem answering this post :D I want a guy who will be my best friend and partner in crime. I want a man who is honest and hard working and can put me in my place when I'm being stubborn and just flat out wrong. I want a guy who can make me laugh and doesn't like to make me cry. A guy who shares my interests but isn't afraid to try something new or make me try something new. A guy who will push me to grow as a person and as a Christian. A guy who knows that chivalry is sexy and lust isn't. Someone who isn't judgmental about my past but looks towards the future. I'll let you in on a secret. Most women have walls around their hearts and sometimes it's hard to break those down. But the key to getting in those walls is making them feel safe. And I mean in all ways possible, physically, mentally, emotionally. When they feel safe, they trust and when they trust they open themselves up and that is an amazing thing. All women want is a knight in shining armor who will fight for them and slay the dragon. Post Reply

I would say I want a man who is on the same page with me when it comes to beliefs/ethics/values and lifestyle choices but be complementary (different) when it comes to personality. For me, that means being theologically conservative, politically moderate/progressive, having a good job, providing for and teaching our children, not having pets, not smoking, having excellent communication skills (verbal and written), being gentle, laid-back, compassionate, and self-controlled... Among other things! But don't take me as a typical indicator of what women want. My preferences might be less common than others. Post Reply
