I was just curious. Has anyone received e-mails with well-written English and then looked at the profile and seen it is not well written?

Actually, I find just the opposite: well-written profile but emails that are obviously from someone with a meager command of the English language!

Either way, it sends up red flags for me. Just sayin'

pjh,

I have seen several, where the top part of their profile didn't match the bottom part of the profile. Hmmm. Red flags for me. Be cautious. God bless..:glow:

Hmm, can't say I've seen or at least noticed that myself. I guess there's any number of reasons why that could be but indeed most of them probably wouldn't be all to great.

As for the reverse I would just imagine the person put plenty of care into their profile but are treating emails the way many people treat chat/im with 'shorthand' and a complete lack of any proofreading.

I think some here are too reactionary when it comes to the opposite sex. As a man I might get a message from a lady and I dont really see anything wrong with it and next thing she is flagged.

I thought love was patient. I think also when someone writes or shows interest we should at least show the respect of saying thankyou and you are chatting with another.

I would agree though that being inconsistant is never a good thing :)
