what's the difference??Posted : 9 Jun, 2012 12:43 PMWhat's the difference between a good friend who happens to be a Guy and a boyfriend? Like when do you considered someone to be "the one" and what's the difference? Does anything really change in the relationship? Or does your view about them change, does anything change? I hear a lot of women refer to "that perfect one" who their looking for, being their best friend and it's very common after a relationship for the woman to make the statement, "let's just be friends". |

what's the difference??Posted : 10 Jun, 2012 07:48 AMOkay, I had that explanation coming, but could you please describe "Romantically". Really what's the difference? What does a boyfriend or husband get that your friends don't? What? The talk is different? Well if you've ever gone though a breakup or for some on here "a divorce".. Talk is cheap and "until death to do us part" doesn't seem sacred in a culture with norm being breakups and divorces according to the US Census. But I'm really trying to not go there.. what I'm curious about is what does "love" get a man? Expecially the right man, which is normally until you find something about him that you dislike. But what does he get, what does he mean to you...does he get Your heart? Your body? Nothing but heartbreak? What? |

what's the difference??Posted : 10 Jun, 2012 10:33 PMIs that it? :/ well, that's a disappointment but thank you for answering. I was really hopeful that there be more thought into what God would want in a relationship or that women would want more in a relationship. Maybe something that's a bit more lasting and more steadfast then an activity. I still see no difference from a woman of God and a woman of the world. Maybe the woman of God doesn't exist anymore???? Well, take care everybody |

what's the difference??Posted : 11 Jun, 2012 07:20 AMDude, the difference is subtle and hard to easily put into words. It is the difference between 'caring' and 'investing'. A friend 'cares' that you are going through a rough time, and may even spend time talking an issue out with you, giving advice, lending a shoulder or even a hand. A boyfriend/girlfriend or spouse is in it for the long haul ... caring as above, but also pooling resources, time, energy and prayer, being vulnerable with their truest emotions and fears and giving you a safe place to do the same. That is why breakups and divorce are so painful... you trusted someone with your most vulnerable, not always pretty-inside-self, and now they are no longer a safe place and that vulnerability becomes in danger of being rediculed and trampled, and exposed to the world! |
