Believes that there is only One God! Not 3. 4. Believes in the power of laying hands in prayer 5. Believes in the necessity of receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues 6. Believes in Jesus Name Baptisms But if you are reading this and you are Apostolic then you know all of this already. So if you are an Apostolic woman then please lets get to know each other even if it is just as friends and brother and sister in Christ. View Profile History	Are there any Apostolic women out there Posted : 10 Oct, 2012 12:09 PM Point 3 - Apostolics believe that there is only one God and His name is Jesus. We do not believe in the trinity. The reason being is that God manifested Himself in the flesh and came down to Earth. And Jesus makes several references that He is the Father as well as the Holy Spirit. So the idea of the trinity is that God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are 3 separate beings. But Deuteronomy 6:4 says "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord" so how can He be 3 separate beings when there is only one. Point 5 - in Acts Jesus tells the disciples that they will be filled with the Spirit after He goes back into Heaven. In John 3 Jesus tells Nicodemus that in order to be born again then we must be born of the water (baptism) and of the Spirit (Holy Ghost). A lot of churches nowadays do not preach of the necessity of the Holy Ghost. As far as speaking in tongues the Bible talks about how when the Spirit flowed within the disciples that it gave them utterance and stammering lips and the spoke in a language that they did not know. When you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost it is evident through you speaking in another tongue that you had no knowledge of beforehand. I hope that clarifies it for you.
