starting & ending conversationsPosted : 4 Dec, 2014 11:16 PMThere are two different people: There are people who like to start things and there are those who like to finish things. I happen to be the latter one. I like to leave no work undone. However, when it comes to this online dating, I am the former. I like to start conversations, but the more I learn, I am trying to find a way to exit and leave. So, I am eager to start conversations, but I am also eager to stop them and move on. Why is this? There are so many people on this dating site. I wish I could spend 10-30 minutes with each woman here. I could imagine drinking my morning coffee with a different girl everyday. I like to talk to different people. But I have noticed that I dread long conversations with uninteresting people. Everybody looks like a wonderful & interesting person while you don't know them, and after awhile you realize they are not interesting. I think, an important skill in dating is how to get rid of people discreetly. I don't mean killing them. I mean how to say "good bye" in a courteous and friendly manner without hurting the other person. That's an art! And one reason why many people hate dating is because they hate rejecting people. But you have to reject people over and over again. And it's really hard! So, I have a love-hate relationship with dating. I guess I like to talk to new people. But I don't like telling them "ok. I think, I had enough." |

starting & ending conversationsPosted : 13 Dec, 2014 02:27 PMI'm not depending on cdff. Of course, there are other dating sites too. ;) But if there was no technology, I'd be worried. The internet connects everybody to everybody else. It's a wonderful invention that didn't exist hundreds of years ago. You know, we are VERY PRIVILEGED to live in the 21st century!!! |
