Submission.Posted : 10 Apr, 2011 08:20 PMIt talks a lot in the bible about submission, it says that the woman should submit to her husband, and that the husband and wife should submit themselves one to another in the fear of God. |

Submission.Posted : 10 Apr, 2011 08:52 PMI agree. At the very least, it is between a wife and a husband, and should never be done out of fear, obligation, or a power struggle. It should also NEVER be used to excuse any kind of abuse, but that is sometimes how it is presented. |

Submission.Posted : 10 Apr, 2011 09:42 PMI equate submission to ballroom dancing. The woman is supposed to follow the guy's lead, but the guy's only responsibility is to make the woman look good. If he's a bad dancer though, she doesn't have to keep dancing with him. |

Submission.Posted : 10 Apr, 2011 10:44 PMWives should either be submitting or following the Matthew 18 protocol for dealing with sin. I really don't think there's a third option there. If the husband isn't in sin in what he's asking of his wife, she must submit. If he is in sin, the sin needs to be dealt with Biblically. |

Submission.Posted : 11 Apr, 2011 01:06 PMToday, I believe a form of submission is keeping the mans last name. Some women refuse to take their husbands last name and keep their own. it is more popular than you think. |

Submission.Posted : 11 Apr, 2011 04:36 PMMy submission is a gift for my husband. I choose to obey the Lord and consider myself secondary to him, learn to adapt to him and his mannerisms, depend on him, relinquish relational authority to him...but it still boils down to honoring him for the role he has in our marriage. Sometimes it is more difficult than it should be. Thank you Lord I am not beyond learning! |

Submission.Posted : 11 Apr, 2011 08:47 PMRight. It's between a husband and wife and the Spirit of Christ is "Love your wife like Christ loves the Church" If he is not loving his wife properly, why should she submit? |
