1 Corinthians 13:8-10

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know
in part and we prophesy in part,
10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.
Prophecies were God�s Revelation to Man�in Part! They came in Parts�one piece at a time.
Divine Scripture is God�s Written Revelation to Man�in Whole and COMPLETE!! Nothing needs to be Added and nothing should be Removed.
There is no more Oral Revelations from God. There are and will be False Prophets, but no more Prophets.
Jeremiah 14:14-15

14 Then the LORD said to me, �The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries[a] and the delusions of their own minds. 15 Therefore this is what the LORD says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, �No sword or famine will touch this land.� Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine.

Prophets are involved with the Evangelists,Shepherds and teachers,unto this within the local assemblies of the Saints of GOD.
Eph 4:12 with a view to the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ,
Eph 4:13 until we all may come to the unity of the faith and of the full knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
Eph 4:14 so that we may no longer be infants, being blown and carried about by every wind of doctrine, in the sleight of men, in craftiness to the deceit of error,
Eph 4:15 but speaking the truth in love, we may grow up into Him in all things, who is the Head, the Christ,
Discerning the modern day Prophets:
1Co 14:3 But the one prophesying to men speaks for building up, and encouragement, and comfort.
Good word, I agree no modern day prophets, but words of knowledge as given via Holy Spirit. The prophetic movement is very deceptive and I fell hard into it a few years back, but by the grace of G-d there go I.

It is interesting to note that in the last book of God's New Covenant PROPHETS are mentioned 9 times and teachers and pastors are not even mentioned once.
You can point to as many verses as you can find about Prophecy. But I have been talking about Prophets.
If I am hearing correctly, you all are saying that there are no more �Prophets� but that some Christians do Receive the �gift� of Prophecy and therefore �Prophecy�.
Yes�I would agree with that, but it seemed to me that some were saying
�God still Speaks to some Christians and they in turn �relate� what God said to them to the rest of The Flock�.
That would be False and God would hold anyone who claimed so�ACCOUNTABLE!
No God's true prophets are appointed by Jesus as per Ephesians 4:13-18 and not the Roman Catholic Church and do not add or take words away from the prophecies in God's Word as per Revelation 22:18,19. True prophets do not get messages from God that differ from God's Word. Prophets just interpret the prophetic passages in God's Word by the correct exegesis of comparing Scripture with Scripture and rightly handling the Word of Truth.
Prophets are mentioned 9 times in the Book of Revelation, the Last book of the New Covenant, and are still appointed by Jesus to correctly interpret the prophecies in God's Word.
Apparently there are no true prophets in the Roman Catholic Church since almost all Roman Catholic theologians accept the very Satanic Preterist view of God's Prophecies which believes that everything in Revelation and Mathew 24 and 25 including the 2nd Coming of Jesus in Matthew 24:29-31were completed when the Jewish Temple was destroyed in October AD 70.

It is Deflamatory and Quite Unfair! You may not like The Catholic Church and you most certainly Disagree with Her, but bring up your points Civily and with some Reference (other than heresay).
She is the Oldest Christian Church that dates back to when Christ Walked this Earth.
I do not slander your church or make Outlandish Accusations towards it...I would Hope and Expect the same from you.
As to the Preterists...Yes there were some Catholics that believed this, but there also were Protestants that did also.

Is there even one instance where a believer prayed to someone other than the **Father** in the OT or the NT?? Answer; ZERO!
What church had its evil leader decree that it is OK to pray to and worship Mary, a human being, who was a sinless VIRGIN??
I Timothy 3:1-5:If anyone sets his heart on being an Overseer or Bishop, he desires a noble task. Now the Overseer or Bishop must be the husband of but one wife.....He must manage his own family well..If anyone does no know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church? I Tim 3:12 and Titus 1:6: Deacons and Elders should also be the husband of but one wife.
I Corinthians 9:5: Paul said �Don't we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other Apostles and the Lord's brothers and Cephas {PETER} What church became famous for having thousands of their unmarried priests fondle and seduce hundreds of thousands of innocent and trusting children?? There were over 250 Roman Catholic priests and teachers found guilty of seducing children just in the German province of Munich alone. As a result over 200,000 disgusted Germans and about 76,000 Austrians left the Roman Catholic Church in 2010.
Matthew 23:9: Jesus says, �Do not call ANYONE on earth 'father,' for you have ONE {Spiritual} Father, and He is in Heaven!!� What Church calls all their priests spiritual �Fathers�?? And their Satanic leader �Holy Father�??
This Church actually claims that they do not worship Mary but what are all these "Hail Mary's" all about??? Actually this Church worships and prays to Mary far more than they worship Jesus and His Father combined even though God's Word commands us over 100 times to Worship and pray to GOD ALONE!!
Hebrews 9:15,26b-28: Christ is the mediator of a NEW COVENANT so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance--now that He has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant...But now He has APPEARED ONCE FOR ALL at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the SACRIFICE of Himself... so Christ was SACRIFICED ONCE to take away the sins of many people, and He will *APPEAR* a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him. Hebrews 10:10: �We have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus **ONCE FOR ALL**!!�
What Church believes that Jesus has to die every day except Good Friday to take away sins and that Satanic priests have the power to change wine into the blood of Jesus and wafers into the body of Jesus which they eat.
