"IN JESUS NAME!"
This is not a talisman or incantation, which one may wield to conjure up whatever is desired.
If you are employing His Name to try to gain something to yourself, or to ward off something through it, this would be construed as "sorcery".
This is why much of Christianity, today, is closer to Witchianity, than to faith in God the Father through Jesus Christ.
It is sickening to see so many who profess faith through the Name of Yeshua, trying to follow the spells of modern ministers, who are teaching men to say "IN JESUS NAME", when trying to conjure up a thing.
This is not prayer, this is witchcraft!
I cannot tell you how many times I have seen this done. Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, Joyce Meyer, and especially the TBN gang, to list just a few of modern Americanized Christianity, trying to wield the Divine Name as though it were an incantation in a spell. It is such a farce to see Yeshua's Name used in a fraudulent manner.
I am certain that many on here who are divorced, claimed that union to be "IN JESUS NAME!" Look at the subsequent collapse; so we know that this is not what it means.
To be "IN JESUS' NAME", means to have been chosen before time began, and sealed in Him, into the secret place of the Most High, which is Jesus!
Were you sealed into the secret place of the Most High?
If you were, and you know this, then you are "IN JESUS' NAME!"
The nonsense of using this phrase as though it were an incantation, is pure sorcery!

I agree that there are those who use the phrase, "In Jesus Name" improperly, but there are several verses where Jesus says that whatever is asked in His name ye shall receive. So we are to ask "In His Name". There is no other name. Those who abuse this phrase are doing it for their own self satisfaction or glory, but to those who ask of Jesus those things that glorify Him, and with a heart that is seeking His will, I don't believe there is anything wrong with asking "In His Name".
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it]. -John 14:12-14

All one must do is sit back and watch, wait and listen, and the truth of a person's true spiritual self will sooner or later come forth and be revealed. It is YOU who is practing blasphemey regarding the things of God that we as believers have bee given authority to do... and it is YOU is is practicing hersey and disobediance, rebellion, and stubbornness which is working witchcraft on your OWNself...
In the first place let it be known that "In Jesus name", IS NOT A PHRASE!!!... It is a prayer of imploying His authority, His character, His will, and His power in whatever circumstance or sitiuation one is seeking/requesting of Him, requesting Him to act in or on our behave...
It is NOT for you or anyone to determine what, how, or where, or what, why, or when a person uses the name of Jesus in their prayer requests... you are stepping out of your bounderies. Nor is it YOUR business as to give call as to if a person is misusing the name of Jesus or not, THIS IS BETWEEN GOD AND THE PERSON, AND NOT FOR YOU OR ANYONE ELSE TO JUDGE OR CONDEMN!
There is POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS, but there ain't nothing of substance in your name or any other name on earth, so you cannot tell anyone when or what or who they are to call upon the name of Jesus in their prayers.
So are you now forbidding Christians NOT to use the name of Jesus in their prayer requests or to invoke His name in circumstances or situations?? You speak like a foolish man as the Pharasiess and priest when they forbid and commanded Peter and the apostles not to teach or preach in the name of Jesus ... But I will speak to you as Peter and the other aposte spoke, We ought to obey God rather than man!!!
And since you know so much about the use of Jesus'name , which by the wat YOU DID NOT GIVE TO HIM, maybe you can tell us when it is proper and appropiate to use the name of Jesus?

There is power in the Name of Jesus to cast out demons:

There is power in the Name of Jesus to heal the sick:

Acts 3:16 "And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
There is Salvation in the name of Jesus
Acts 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Acts 4:11 Jesus is ��the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.� 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.�
Acts 15:26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rev 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
Acts 28:31 preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him.

:laugh:... you're right Jude... but I think more than mercy is needed to help this dude!:ROFL:... he's a ray of light of his father the devil for sure trying to influence and corrupt the body of Christ with his foolishness, worse than the Judaiizers who cerpt into the church in Ephesus and Galatia, and Paul had to rebuke the people for even listening to the false teachers spreading their lies.
This is in like manner we have been wraned about by Jesus and Paul and the other apostles in thier writings, as to how the antichrist will present himself in the body of Christ, seeking to find a weak spot, and those who are wealk in thier faith, and are angry at God and the church or pastor for whatever reason, and have not repented of thier OWN SINS. This is how the antichrist will have his followers to twist God's word and make you feel and think like a victim of Christianity and the church, and society,. But promises and God will do as He said, He will send a delusion for those who will belivee the lie, so that they will believe and will be lost into hell if there is not repentance.
This is very serious, because the antichrist is at work now , and his followers are even so on this forum, when you read post of those who speak negatively against the things of God according to what is written in the word... YET they can never come up with a spiritual conclusion or resolution for the problems they attack that will bring a better change. All this is of the devil to turn others hearts from their faith and their person relationship with the Lord. Only because the followers of the antichrist do not have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior OVER their own life, and they follow the way of Balaam and the antichrist which if of their father satan!.
Therefore, I speak to that demonic spirit that has you bound AWM and under its control... In the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Narazath I rebuke and command that unclean spirit to come out of you!
