If a PHYSICALLY dead person who has no life whatsoever can respond and hear the voice of God and must obey... what's the problem with a person who is alive but is spiritually dead in their sins, being not ablr to hearing and obeying the voice of God convicxting him/her of their sins, and come to repentance and toreceive Christ? God says HIs word has power to rasie the dead whether or not the person is physically or spiritually dead... and His word NEVER RETURNS BACK TO HIM VOID wihtout accomplishing what He sent it forth to do... What and when He speaks, it happens... His word has the power to move people, places and things at His call and His will based on His divine purposes and plans.:yay: His word is like a hammer breaking into pieces any and everything that get in His way, His word is a consuming fire and will burn down whatever needs to be destiroyed, His word has the power to pull down evey stronghold that stands and axalt itself against the truth of His work and word. Lazarus had no choice in the matter, when Jesus spoke life, which were the WORDS of Jesus, death had to remove its self and loose him and let him go, and life (THE WORD) had to obey and take over... death has no power over God who created the POWER and is the ONLY SOURCE OF POWER over ALL THINGS! As it is written I Corinthians 15:55, O death, where is your sting (power)? O grave, where is thy victory (bondage to hold) ? THERE IS POWER IN THE WORD OF GOD! The Gardner: How is it possible for a man being dead 'FOUR' days to be having faith. And please do not tell me you believe Yeshua needed faith to raise Lazarus. Lazarus being dead 'FOUR' days had not faith,nor free will. Yeshua called Lazarus out of the tomb According to His will. Yeshua,commanded Lazarus to come out. Lazarus was also still bound with the graves clothes,these clothes represent that which keeps a person bound to this life. Posted : 7 Dec, 2011 08:55 PM WOW ELLA YOU SAID A MOUTH FULL (light bulbs going on everywhere in my head) Thats so true about what is true in the physical and natural world is true in the spiritand this is an example of complete deat becoming life by simply THE WORD OF GOD! simple as that! The word of God is Life in itsself it brings life it quickens and makes people to live again! Lazurus was dead for 4 days and in case yall dont know why that 4th day is important it was after 4 days the ancients believed the spirit had left the body! So Jesus had brought a completly dead man all the way with NO LIFE AT ALL IN HIM back to life simply by his words this may be the very best argument I have heard against calvinism yet..
