Nicodemus a Pharisee and teacher of the Jews he came to Jesus in the middle of the night and told Jesus he believed in Christ miracles and that Christ is a TEACHER that came from GOD, BECAUSE it is impossible to do the things that Christ did unless God was with him. 1. Nicodemus believed in Christ miracles. 2. He believed Christ to be a teacher that came from God. 3. But he did not believed that Christ is THE SAVIOR. Jesus answered him "Truly, Truly I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God". Christ was talking in the Spirit but to hear and understand the word of the spirit, you must empty yourself of yourself and be filled by the Spirit of God. Only the Spirit of God understands God, and the Spirit of man understands man. Nicodemus was in the Flesh and he asked Jesus "How can a man be be born, when he is old?. He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?' Jesus was talking about spiritual birth, the birth that has overcome death, but Nicodemus was talking about the Natural birth, that needs deliverance from sin which has not overcome death. Jesus answered "Truly, truly I say to you, unless one is born of water and and the spirit he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God". To be born of water is to die to the world and become alive in Christ, that is the New Birth that has ovecome death. To be born of the Spirit, is after baptism we recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit and we speak as the Spirit as it gives utterance, speaking in other tongues.We are filled and led by the Spirit of GOD, HE IS THE TEACHER. "That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit". Without being led by the Spirit of God we will always have a lot of information without revelation.Without being born again we will always be in a state of confusion. Romans 12:2 We must pour ourselves of worldly desires, we must be transformed by the renewing of our mind, then we will be able to know what the will of God is. To be born again is to live like Christ wants us to live not the way we think we should live or like to live. What do you say? Post Reply

Posted : 6 Jan, 2012 01:03 PM I know I am born again cause I was there when it happend and i was different, I went to the alster a prson who drank smoked and cussed and partyied and fornitcated and I got a person who did none of those things I had a radicle re birth, I want to address what you said about being born of water and spirit as I was just talking about this with my family the other day! First of all there are only 2 births in a believers life one is being born from their mother the other is being born of the spirit or being born again, idf being born of water was the rebirth then being born of the spirit wouldnt be the rebirht, you see what I am saying! Being born of water means simply to be born to your mother, being born of the spirit is the new birth! When a man is born again the holy spirt right then dwells in them! Thats the new birth recieving the babtisim of the holy ghost is not the rebirth they are seperate yes but only one of them is the rebirth and being born of water imeans being born of the flesh! ther are only 2 birhts, the way you stated it then there would be 3 and thats not what the bble says! None of it matters thoughb if your reborn your reborn! We do not have to know all of this stuff:peace: Post Reply

Posted : 6 Jan, 2012 04:23 PM elishabroadway, Mark 1:4 being baptized with water is baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sin. Matthew 3:11 "as for me, I baptize you with water for repentace, but HE who is coming after me will is mightier than I, and am not fit to remove His sandals. He will baptize you with the HOLY SPIRIT AND FIRE. With the natural birth we are born into sin because we are decendants of Adam and Eve.That is why we must be born again. Some people recieve the gift of the Spirit afte rwater baptism. like JESUS. Mark 1:10 "And immediately after coming out of the water, He saw the heavens opening and the Spirit like a dove decending upon Him. Acts 2:2-4 Others recieve it in prayer like the day of Pentercost "And they were all filled with the HOLY SPIRIT and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving utterance. Posted : 6 Jan, 2012 06:18 PM I did not have a question, It was a statment, water babtisim is not the same tings as being born of water there is only one rebirth, there is the birth of the flesh into sin and then birth o the spirit there is only two so when Jesus said you must be born of water and the spirit he meant you must be born into flesh of your mother and born of the spirit, only 2 he was not talking about water babtisim hee being babtised doesnt savd you! And it is not any kind of birth it is symbolic of the new birth hopefuly time your babtised your already born again , so this would not make any sence for this to be part of the new birth! I am aware of being filled with the spirt this isnt the new birth either the new birth comes before either one of those things take place! Someone who is born again but doesnt live to get babtised maybe they except the lord on their death bed , they will still see the Koingdom, so this is most definatly not what the Lord is speaking about Post Reply

I don't do those things I use to do, nor run with those same friends I use to run with (maybe because most are dead:laugh:... but because I love Jesus because He first loved me, and by faith I believe that He is the Son of the living God, and I have the witness of His Holy Spirit living on the inside of me. As I John 5 says, 1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone BONR OF GOD overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. Post Reply

Posted : 6 Jan, 2012 11:51 PM Yes He does stand on his own however He didnt say what you are saying he said my dear brother, He said be born again not be born again again :ROFL: Its a one time deal being born again is being born of the spirit being born of water is the first birth and thats why He said it first be born of water first (the first birth into the flesh) then be born of spirit (the rebirth) There are only 2 births my dear I dont know what your sayd defend I am not attacking so ther is no need of defence, I am telling you what the word says and implys people were born again first then they got spirit filled was not one in the same, and getting spirit filled was not being born again, before you become spirit filled you should already be born again, and yes some can be spirit filled right after babtism when they come out of the water like the Lord was but I would say it is few and far between anyone would be as yeilded as the Lord Jesus was when he came out of that water when they first gget babtized we have to become completly yeilded to him before we will be filled and nobody that walked this earth was or will be as yeilded to the spirit as the Lord jJesus was, Dont you agree that the babtisim and being born again are not the same thing? People become born again sometimes moths or years beore htye get babtised and in my case I got filled with the spirit before I was batised in water as my churchat the time only had one babtism a year and it was in may and I recieved the spirit in april of 2005 , lanyway I just want to know if you are sayoing that to be born again you must be born three times, once into flesh once is babtrisim inwatwer and then the filling on the spirit? thats what it seems like you said, and thast not what the lord said, again so we understand clearly being nborn of water means to be born to your mother in the flesh, being born of the spirit is the event of being born again when the spirit dwells in you, this is not the same as the infilling of the holy spirit! I am sure your intentions are good brother you just have your lines crossed a little bit! Post Reply

Born again from above, cleasing and washing and riding the person of thier sins, conveting and sealing the person for the day of redemption. This is the regeneration process that is of God through His Holy Spirit changing the person from the inside out, making him/her a new creation in Christ, putting off the old sin nature and restoring the person with a new nature which is of Christ.. a transforming process when a person has surrendered to the work of the Holy Spiriit to bring about conversion and spitiural change in the person's life..
