Prosperity is not scriptural in the NT. Not to say, God can not Bless Us financially; because he can and He does. Post Reply

God gives this All to Us. However, like I said we are to be concerned about Prospering in the Knowing of God. Having a relationship with Christ. God will give Us of his riches from Glory when we seek his Kingdom first. The Bible also says the Poor will Always be among Us. Seek Ye first the Kingdom of heaven; and all these things shall be added unto you; according to His rriches in glory.According to God's Will , He will prosper Us. Post Reply

I do not believe in the Traditions of Men; I am into the Faith of the Word of God. However, Bible does not preach Prosperity in NT except for Excepting Jesus by Faith in the Word of God. Who really cares about having wordly wealth? that has and still is what I been trying to say I have never said God wont bless us but what I have and stil say is the TV guys saying to people send us your money and God will give you back 10 times that much and answer your prayers for a new car or whatever that is evil Post Reply

If you contend against the truth or if any do then they need to hear the truth and yield to it. Posted : 23 Jan, 2012 01:24 PM PJ, I am aware that the Lord will make us to prosper financialy and otherwise if we are obediant but that should never ever be our motives thats my poinmt, these tv evangilist seem to be trying to sell the idea of sewing seeds for people to send in some money and then they promise that God will give them so much money in return, I saw a guy once on tv and it stuck with me tell his life story he said that God "told him" to give 100 dollars to a particualr ministry and he claims he said back to God "lord this money is for a new suit" and he ended up giving that 100 dollars and that same week someone bought him a whole bunch of new suits and that was like 45 years ago and to this day he hgas never bought himself a suit! Now I am not saying that is not true, because it could be and probably is true, however the wrong part is using that testimony to sucker people into sending him money for his ministry or whatever he spends it on! These people I think probably had a right spirit and pure heart to begin with but money corrupted them and now they use the testimonys God gave tem to get even richer by convincing poor people to send in money and then "reap the harvest" Its all about our hearts the new testiment (covenant) is and alwasy has been inward, so if we are giving with the right heart and for the right reasons God will make sure we are ok and that we prosper however I dont think prospering is a matter of having anything in excess but having everything we need and being content with it. I am sure God does allow us to have the things we want to if its good for us, I still dont think God is out to make us wealthy I just think he will cause a spirit of contentment within us its part of having unspeakable peace, Its like this I drive a 1990 4X4 dodge dakota pick up truck sometime back my mamma decided to give me her mustang gt I never eally even liked that car but I had convinced myself that it was God wanting me to have something better it was a nice car red convertable my mamma had it since I was 18 but ut was garage kept and very nice, so she said she would trade me now up until that time I had been looking for some stuff to fix up my old truck the seats were ripped and the doors faded and the dash was torn up the radio didnt work I had found me a set of crome roll bars and kc lights i was saving up for just to make it look cool, but she said shge would sell my truck I was like well ok so I took the car and gave her my truck about 3 weeks later my mom came for a visit and I could tell she was upset about something she had been missing that car, I had been thinking that it realy wasnt my car anyway she had it since I was my daughters age anyway she wanted her car back and I wanted to give it back to her. That car had made me feel a million miles away from my mamma, anyway I felt much better when I gave it back to her and after I did she said she had put my truck in the shop to fix it up to sell!!! A man my papa knew had a truck body just exactly like mine and the interior was in great shape they had put new seats RED ONES and door panels a new dash and a brand new sterion cd player also I forgot to mention that my steering colum was broken and I had to crank up with a pair of plyers I hhad a new steering colum too!! AND a BLACK ROLL BAR with bright KC lights and they also put bright fod lights on my brush gaurd my mamma had bought some dodge black and red floor mats the thick rubber kind it looks nice I love it. Now I still sometimes feel like I need something newer but when I get into a financial mess like I am this week cause asom3eone took 84>36 out of my checking account without pwermoission well I know I dont have a truck payment to make and that to me is prospeirty! Way better than that mustang GT convertable even though it was a beautiful car that I really looked good in I had no peace about the car , Prosperity is having peace about what you have I mean there is more to it than that, however I just think that God is more in the buisness of giving us the right heart, dpirit and desirs than giving us the desires we already want, he changes our wants and the way we see things I dont care about being rich, today I found out I had that money missing from my account then I went to the pharmacy to get a prescription filled thats usualy 5 dollars they wanted 81 dollars for my co pay, my health insurance had changed and now my deductable is on my medication too not just medical so until I meet my deductable of 1500 I have to pay that much for my medication every month, now I dont get paid until weds nigh I have about 40 dollars to my name and maybe 80 my daughter hs in her checking account but I know I am gonna be ok thats not includint the check I wrote yesterday for my tithes to my church but its times like this when God can show us his power I am trusting in him to see me through , I am broke but I have peace Post Reply
