The cross redeemed us from the curse of the law through Jesus Christ who became a curse for us, and this is what Paul was trying to get through to the Galatian church, that the law brought no hope, but the cross and the death of Jesus cross is our only hope of glory.
Jesus paid the price for our freedom so that we would not perish or suffer the penalty of death for our sins because of our disobedience.
God has only one message-the gospel of Christ. In light of Galatians 1:6-9, what were Pauls belief about someone preaching "another gospe"? What is another goepsl?

ME: Paul is speaking of the only gospel he preached. 1 Cor. 15: 1 Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to youunless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,
That of freedom to all believers IN and NOTHING BUT Christ. And tht only He alone is the cause of salvation with no other ifs, ands, or buts about it. To even add another :
1. Baptism
2. Spirit
3. Language
4. Walk
6. Lifestyle
7. Reversion to things of the law.
8. advantage of money.
9. Physical healing
10. Prominence and advancing in this life.
Is another gospel influenced by man nd taking away from Jesus is worthy of curses.
Gal. 1:6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel 7 not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.
Paul can only marvel that Galatian Christians have turned from their freedom in Jesus back to the rules of Old Testament Judaism. some people tried to compel Christians to live as do the Jews, an error even the apostle Peter made. Paul argued strongly that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God for, The just shall live by Faith. Gal. 3:11
O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you? Gal. 3:1
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance against such there is No law. Gal. 5:22-23

The LAW of the SPIRIT of LIFE has set me FREE from the LAW of sin and death.
We are set free from the curse of the law, because of Yeshua who took the curse and paid the price by the shedding of His precious BLOOD!
Yes, we are not under the law, but under GRACE, which does not give us a license to sin as some may think.
Many get this scripture confused in that they do not think the TEN COMMANDMENTS need to be followed, since they say Yeshua did it all, however, he came to FULFILL the law and the prophets, not do away with the law.
ET, This is all documented and easily researched from the book of the Acts of the Apostles.
The other gospel came about and was started because Paul was gaining notoriety where he was in the gentile churches and the Jews (those of the circumcision, later known as the mutilation.) didn't like it so they started spreading rumors about "someone" who was preaching a twisted version of the Godspell of Christ and having too much freedom to go by it ( That prompted James to write his epistle to the Jewish churches who heard this rumor to rectify the rumor. James was soon killed by Herod afterwards.).
Act 11:25 So Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,
Act 11:26 and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples WERE FIRST CALLED Christians.
While he was there he would go to the synagogues to evangelize the Jews and that is when the Jews started to try to "capture" the believers by spreading rumors of Paul and Silas and by telling them that they had to keep the Law of the Jews.
Act 14:1 Now at Iconium they entered together into the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed.
Act 14:2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers.
Now, the fact that Paul was founding churches, as an Apostle, he would stay there from anywhere from 3 to 6 months to encourage exhort and nurture the young churches. Then He would appoint elders from within their ranks and leave them to themselves so that the Headship of Christ would be fully manifest in the gathering without any bias from other men.
Act 14:21 When they had preached the gospel to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch,
Act 14:22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.
Act 14:23 And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed.
While he was laying down the foundations of Christ and nurturing the young believers to actively utilize their gifts in the gatherings, that is when the "circumcision party" would be trying to take captive of the other places and either follow him or go before him to slander and deceive the people by being a continual thorn in his side.
Act 14:27 And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.
Act 14:28 And they remained no little time with the disciples.
By this time the rumors of this other gospel of going back to the law was really spreading without the two apostles knowing of it. As they went to Jerusalem to tell of the news of how God was working with the Gentiles and how the Church was really magnifying Christ, that is when they heard the news of the rumors and what the circumcision party was doing while preaching of "The WAY(that is originally what the believers in Christ originally were calling the faith in Christ because He was the ONLY WAY to God. The name of Christians is what the pagan world called the followers because all they did was speak of His mighty works and of Him being the only Way. That is why Luke says the first disciples WERE CALLED in Acts 11:26. Luke worded it because they were called that and not called themselves that.)" . Paul prompted by the Spirit wrote the letter to Galatia right around this time. Upon the having learned of the news and the rumors, the WHOLE church came to a decision on what the gentiles should be officially told regarding the rumors that the circumcision party was saying to defuse the issue. Their conclusion was this:
Act 15:22 Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They sent Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brothers,
Act 15:23 with the following letter: "The brothers, both the apostles and the elders, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greetings.
Act 15:24 Since we have heard that some persons have gone out from us and troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions,
Act 15:25 it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
Act 15:26 men who have risked their lives for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Act 15:27 We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth.
Act 15:28 For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements:
Act 15:29 that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell."
Act 15:30 So when they were sent off, they went down to Antioch, and having gathered the congregation together, they delivered the letter.
Ironically, they came up with the same "laws" that the proselytes in Judaism followed in the faith called the Noahdic Laws.
Now, I'm not sure if you want more info but I think that maybe by discussing what Paul wrote in the epistle to the Galatians we can specifically see what some of details and additions to this other gospel that this party was. What Do you think, sister?
Excellent answer with scripture to the original question Agape.:applause:
Its amazing that after all these years these same issues still exist, however, I'm not sure Judiasm even acknowledges the NT.
Apostle Paul's warnings and exhortation of scripture is a LIVING word for us today. I pray that our Jewish brothers and sisters come to the knowledge of Yeshua as their true Messiah as they truly reverence G-d and the OT, but are missing it without YESHUA their Messiah.
Yes, great answers but we are discussing what happened in the book of Galatians, and why Paul was so very upset about the gospel the Judaizers were teaching in the church in Galatian, which was the gospel of the law of circumcisim.
This is what I'm asking, what about the law of circumcisim this is the particular false gospel Paul was upset about that the Judaizers was teaching to the Galatians.
What was the law of circumcisim? This is the other gospel that the Galtians was believing, the Jew felt that finding favor with God and salvation could also be found through circumcision, and that the Galtians could have both, the teachings of Christ and keep the Mosaic laws of circumcisim and still be justified by faith, which contracdited the gospel of justification through Jesus Christ that Paul taught. The law of circumcisim brought them back into bondage and legalsim, where as the the law of grace and spriitual freedom through Christ and this salavtion borught them eternal life by faith.
Paul exposed this false gospel and explained the difference in what the Judaizers were teaching that being justified by works of circumcisim is legalism, and what Christ had done on the cross which justification came by faith was the truth path to salvation.
The Galatians began to believe that they could have both and find greater favor with God, but their legalism was only brng them into immorality, and that the truth of justification through Jesus Christ by faith would led them to good works.
