What ever happened to him? I have found these boards to be not as entertaining. The new crazies that replaced him are not as entertaining or challenging to my growth.

PJ openly lied several times. He proved time and time again that he did not care about truth. It was not simply that others disagreed. It was that he distorted truth for his own reasons and the potential was there to mislead fellow believers who are young in their faith. He has no place in the teaching world. His way of teaching is to cause enough confusion so that people will be distract the the terrible errors in his posts. Many times he was asked to back his views with scripture, but he wouldn't. He would just tell people that we could not understand because we didn't have the Spirit. He was a manipulator. Sure he was funny to watch in his ignorance, but the truth is he was a stumbling block to young(and sometimes old) believers.

Yes it's my perspective, but also a reality. You see, there is truth we can know. PJ clearly was not here for truth. That's not even debatable. If we want to just "love" each other by being accepting then I could see how someone could defend him. However if we want to love by defending God and His word, there is no defense for PJ.

In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (1Pe 1:6-7 ESV)

We fall and we get up, we sin and we learn. When trials come we are to count it joy are we not? Yes he was a stumbling block to some but did we not learn? If someone was to stumble and not get back up maybe their faith was not real? We must remember to look towards Gods word when we stumble to help us get back up or the ground we get back up onto may not be the stable ground we think it to be. PJ was nothing more then a trial from God to test our faith and to show us if it was real or not. As Christians we will face many trials and many more PJ's in our future. Him being banned is no more different then if a trial was to come and we were to simply close our eyes to them. It is not a good answer to the problem.

For me PJ forced me to re-evaluate my faith and look to scripture to reaffirm what it is that I believe. To try and debate with him was the equivalent of trying to have a conversation with the wall so I learned it was pointless to expect any thoughtful reply from him. Believe it or not before most of you joined this site PJ use to debate and used logic and scripture, but at some point he changed drastically.

I agree with much of this. You can spot the errors in his posts. You will go to the scriptures when you his posts tested you. The problem is there are babes in Christ who will not do the same. They don't know any better and can be led down a bad path for years before they are taught truth. I will be the first to admit that in some way PJ helped me sure up my beliefs, but it will not be the same for all. We must protect our brothers and sisters from false teaching. Iron sharpens iron, but he was not iron.

My point simply being that we shouldn't just give a false teacher a platform and a mic to speak to believers. God will put us through trials to strengthen our faith, but that doesn't mean we should allow false teaching.
