I would like to know if anyone knows of just one verse of Scripture which says that a person has to BE FULLY SURRENDERED TO CHRST, in order to be a believer in Him the Messiah Yeshua.
Let me see if I can rewrite the Word of GOD Almighty in order to create a new translation , hmmmmmmmmmm
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is FULLY SURRENDERED,he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:7
Do not be amazed that I said to you, You must be FULLY SURRENDERED
John 3:14-18
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
John 3:15
so that whoever IS FULLY SURRENDERED will have eternal life.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever IS FULLY SURRENDEREDin Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:17
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be FULLY SURRENDERED IN Him.
John 3:18
He who FULLY SURRENDERED in Him is not judged; he who does not FULLY SURRENDER has been judged already, because he has not FULL SURRENDERED in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Of course one must believe in Christ, but as I have pointed out before there are numerous other scriptures even dotted around the new testament and old testament about giving your life - surrendering yourself - to God.
Personally, I've tried to live my life my way, it hasn't worked, now I give God the steering wheel, which means he is in control, which means (simply put) I've surrendered myself to him.
In case you missed the scriptures I gave earlier here are a couple of them again and a new one, with questions as to what you think they mean. Because I'm convinced (and I have to say I'm not exactly alone) they mean essentially what I have said above.
Mt 16:24,25
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
---Please explain to me what you think Jesus means here by 'deny himself'?
---Please explain to me what you think Jesus means when he says 'lose his life for my sake'?
Ro 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
---What would you say 'living sacrifice' means?
Lk 14:33
So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
If we are to forsake 'all that we have', what is left? Of course nothing, and who are we doing this for, of course Christ; so in summation I ask you, are we not giving ourselves to Christ?
This is something that I think only comes into true focus sometime after being born again, If you notice, Jesus didn't get round to harsh teachings like this until near the end of his ministry.
Even though his disciples had already left all they had to follow him, I guess Jesus knew that in the back of their minds they might have thought they could go back if they wanted, so he had to make it clear, just like eventually any new Christian has to understand that they have left their old lives behind for Jesus.
Please think on this Brother, it is very important for a Christian to accept that they do not belong to themselves any more, that is worldly thinking, and leads to sin.

BTW since you claim to be so knowledgeable in the Greek word search, take time and look up the word KENOSIS. WHAT DOES THE WORD MEAN GEORGE?
Surrender to God Question: "What does it mean to surrender to God?" Answer: This world is a battleground. Since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:17-19), the world God created has been in conflict with Him (Romans 8:20-22). Satan is called the "god of this world" (2 Corinthians 4:4), and due to Adam's sin, we are born on his team (Romans 5:12).
When we reach the age when we can make moral choices, we must choose whether to follow our own sinful inclinations or to seek God (see Joshua 24:15). God promises that when we seek Him with all our hearts, we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). When we find Him, we have a choice to make: do we continue following our own inclinations, or do we surrender to His will?
SURRENDER is a battle term. It implies giving up all rights to the conqueror. When an opposing army surrenders, they lay down their arms, and the winners take control from then on. Surrendering to God works the same way. God has a plan for our lives, and surrendering to Him means we set aside our own plans and eagerly seek His. The good news is that Gods plan for us is always in our best interest (Jeremiah 29:11), unlike our own plans that often lead to destruction (Proverbs 14:12). Our Lord is a wise and beneficent victor; He conquers us to bless us.
There are different levels of surrender, all of which affect our relationship with God. Initial surrender to the drawing of the Holy Spirit leads to salvation (John 6:44; Acts 2:21). When we let go of our own attempts to earn God's favor and rely upon the finished work of Jesus Christ on our behalf, we become a child of God (John 1:12; 2 Corinthians 5:21). But there are times of greater surrender during a Christian's life that bring deeper intimacy with God and greater power in service. The more areas of our lives we surrender to Him, the more room there is for the filling of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we exhibit traits of His character (Galatians 5:22). The more we surrender to God, the more our old self-worshiping nature is replaced with one that resembles Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Romans 6:13 says that God demands that we surrender the totality of our selves; He wants the whole, not a part: Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. Jesus said that His followers must deny themselves (Mark 8:34)another call to surrender.
The goal of the Christian life can be summed up by Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Such a life of surrender is pleasing to God, results in the greatest human fulfillment, and will reap ultimate rewards in heaven (Luke 6:22-23).

Here is ANOTHER READING FOR YOU GEORGE, so that you can BETTER UNDERSTANDING THAT UNLESS YOU ARE COMPLETELY SURRENDERED TO THE LORD,YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TURLY BORN AGAIN AND YOU'RE STILL IN YOUR SINS!... ... LOTS OF SCRIPTURES FOR YOU TO SEARCH OUT AND READ.
SELF-SURRENDER
self-su-ren'-der: The struggle between the natural human impulses of selfseeking, self-defence and the like, on the one hand, and the more altruistic impulse toward self-denial, self-surrender, on the other, is as old as the race. All religions imply some conception of surrender of self to deity, ranging in ethical quality from a heathen fanaticism which impels to complete physical exhaustion or rapture, super induced by more or less mechanical means, to the high spiritual quality of self-sacrifice to the divinest aims and achievements. The Scriptures represent self-surrender as among the noblest of human virtues.
. In the New Testament.
#1. Christ's Teaching and Example:
In the New Testament self-surrender is still more clearly set forth. Christ's teachings and example as presented in the Gospels, give to it special emphasis. It is a prime requisite for becoming His disciple (Matthew 10:38; Matthew 16:24 Luke 9:23, 24, 59; Luke 14:27, 33; compare Matthew 19:27 Mark 8:34). When certain of the disciples were called they left all and followed (Matthew 4:20; Matthew 9:9 Mark 2:14 Luke 5:27 f). His followers must so completely surrender self, as that father, mother, kindred, and one's own life must be, as it were, hated for His sake (Luke 14:26). The rich young ruler must renounce self as an end and give his own life to the service of men (Matthew 19:21 Mark 10:21; compare Luke 12:33). But this surrender of self was never a loss of personality; it was the finding of the true selfhood (Mark 8:35 Matthew 10:39). our Lord not only taught self-surrender, but practiced it. As a child, He subjected Himself to His parents (Luke 2:51). Self-surrender marked His baptism and temptation (Matthew 3:15; Matthew 4:1). It is shown in His life of physical privation (Matthew 8:20). He had come not to do His own will, but the Fathers (John 4:34; John 5:30; John 6:38). He refuses to use force for His own deliverance (Matthew 26:53 John 18:11). In His person God's will, not His own, must be done (Matthew 26:29 Luke 22:42); and to the Father He at last surrendered His spirit (Luke 23:46). So that while He was no ascetic, and did not demand asceticism of His followers, He "emptied himself.... becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross" (Philippians 2:7 f).
#2. Acts of Apostles: The early disciples practiced the virtue of self-surrender. Counting none of their possessions their own, they gave to the good of all (Acts 2:44, 45; Acts 4:34, 35, 37). Stephen and others threw themselves into their witnessing with the perfect abandon of the martyr; and Stephen's successor, Paul, counted not his life dear unto himself that he might finish the divinely-appointed course (Acts 20:22-24).
#3. Epistles of Paul: The Epistles are permeated with the doctrine of self-surrender. The Pauline Epistles are particularly full of it. The Christian life is conceived of as a dying to self and to the world-a dying with Christ, a crucifixion of the old man, that a new man may live (Galatians 2:20; Galatians 6:14 Colossians 2:20; Colossians 3:3 Romans 6:6), so that no longer the man lives but Christ lives in him (Galatians 2:20 Philippians 1:21). The Christian is no longer his own but Christ's (1 Corinthians 6:19, 20). He is to be a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1); to die daily (1 Corinthians 15:31). As a corollary to surrender to God, the Christian must surrender himself to the welfare of his neighbor, just as Christ pleased not Himself (Romans 15:3); also to leaders (1 Corinthians 16:16), and to earthly rulers (Romans 13:1).
#4. Epistles of Peter: In the Epistles of Peter self-surrender is taught more than once. Those who were once like sheep astray now submit to the guidance of the Shepherd of souls (1 Peter 2:25). The Christian is to humble himself under the mighty hand of God (1 Peter 5:6); the younger to be subject to the elder (1 Peter 5:5); and all to civil ordinances for the Lord's sake (1 Peter 2:13).
So also in other Epistles, the Christian is to subject himself to God (James 4:7 Hebrews 12:9).

May God open your eyes of understanding and comprehension into His Holy Word and bring you to repentance of your sin as you totally surrender yourself to the Lord in humility.
Oh yeah George, in every one of those Scripture passages wherein you wrote the word SURRENDER, THAT'S WHAT EACH PASSAGE MEANS. Of course, you meant it to be smart and mocking, but you were right on point, and GOD HAS BEEN GLORIFIED IN A SHOW OF ALL YOUR SPIRITUAL MOCKING AND IGNORANCE.
MAY THE WORD OF GOD CONTINUE TO BITE YOU IN YOUR BUTT AND PROVE YOU TO BE THE STIFF NECKED HERETIC THAT YOU ARE! You refuse and deny the truth of God's Word, which is blaspheming the Holy Spirit of God, in case you don't know what resist, grieve and quench mean... better do your GREEK WORD SEARCH...
In all honesty George whilst thinking about a response to your last post I found myself thinking in a similar way to when I used to argue with atheists.
Not a good sign Brother!
--------------
I do have things that I enjoy to do;
I enjoy food, which I thank God for,
I enjoy music, which I thank God for,
I enjoy my work, which I thank God for,
I enjoy sports, which i thank God for.
Do I put any of these things before God? No
And also, notably, I did leave an awful lot of things behind in my old life, which for the most part God gave me a dislike for, other things I had to sacrifice.
Do I sit in a room and do nothing else but eat, read the bible and pray? Of course not! Hopefully I have a good enough and open enough relationship with Jesus, through the church, the Word and his Holy Spirit, for him to rebuke and admonish me when I have the wrong things in my life or when anything starts to take precedence over God.
GEORGE, there you go always ASKING QUESTIONS, BUT NEVER ARE YOU ANSWERING ANY QUESTIONS ASKED OF YOU. This let's me know that YOU DON'T KNOW THE ANSWERS.
Nevertheless, SURRENDERING YOUR ALL TO THE LORD, DOES NOT MEAN GIVING UP EVERYTHING IN THIS LIFE! IT MEAN NOT ALLOWING EVERYTHING IN THIS LIFE COME BETWEEN YOU AND GOD! LET NOTHING SEPARATE YOU FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST, SURRENDER WHO YOU ARE IN GOD'S HANDS AS BEING NEEDY BEFORE HIM WILLINGLY, TELL GOD YOU WILL GIVE HIM YOUR WILL FOR HIS WILL TO BE DONE IN YOUR LIFE, NOT YOU TRYING TO MAKE THINGS BE DONE IN YOUR LIFE ON YOUR OWN ACCORD AND STRENGTH...
LET GO AND LET GOD BE THE LORD OF WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST JESUS... ITS A SPIRITUAL MINDSET IN HAVING THE MIND OF CHRIST... IN OTHER WORD YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN-SELF BOSS, BUT YOU GIVE YOURSELF OVER TO CHRIST TO BE THE BOOS (HEAD) OF AND IN YUR LIFE.
Plus, you own nothing anyway, everything you THINK you own belongs to God, and He can take it whenever He pleases.
You speak so proudly about how you ONLY LISTEN TO WHAT JESUS SPEAKS AND ONLY FOLLOW HIS TEACHING... so maybe you can tell us WHAT PART OF JESUS' TEACHINGS DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND IN OBEDIENCE IN ALL THESE EXAMPLES OF HIS WORD, WHEN HE SPEAKS?...Did you READ anything Jude or Carl, or I have posted to you? If you don't understand, which is obvious, why not humble yourself and listen to what we are saying to you, and all you don't understand let us know so that WE CAN HELP BRING YOU INTO UNDERSTANDING BY EXPLAINING TO YOU WHAT GOD IS SPEAKING... ... GOD HAS NEVER ENLIGHTENED A PRIDEFUL PERSON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT SURE DOESN'T WORK OR LIVE IN A PERSON WHO IS FULL OF PRIDE.. So get rid of your PRIDE, and ask for help, as Christians we are to help each other come into the knowledge of Christ to increase our faith... its not a shame to not know what you THOUGHT YOU KNEW ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO THE WORD AND THINGS OF GOD... You can't teach something you yourself don't know or understand. God takes no pleasure in a person with an unteachable spirit, if you can't listen to what we speak, how in the world can you listen to what God is speaking to you THROUGH h HIS WORD OR THOSE WHO KNOW MORE THAN YOU? OR CAN YOU EXPECT OTHERS TO LISTEN TO YOU? RATHER BACKWARDS ISN'T IT???:excited:

George, JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER: REBELLION is the same SIN as WITCHCRAFT; and STUBBORNNESS is the same SIN as WICKEDNESS AND IDOLATRY, says the LORD!:prayingf:
In order for Yeshua to save me,do I need to surrender, drinking beer and wine.
How about smoking substances.
What about staying up late watching movies, the kung fu style.
How about doing drugs( prescription) of course.
Will any of these keep Yeshua from saving me, ABSOLUTELY NOT.
ET stated earlier, that to be BORN AGAIN, a person needs to SURRENDER ALL to Messiah ,if that is so then why did Yeshua respond to Nicodemus as this.
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
John 3:2
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:4
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
John 3:6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:7
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Please note that being BORN FROM ABOVE is the work of GOD Almighty, not the work of anyone which surrenders
