WHAT IS THE UNPARDONABLE SIN AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT IN MATTHEW 12:31??
Deuteronomy 18:17-19: The Lord said to Moses, I will raise up a Prophet for them like you from among your brothers; I will put My words in His mouth, and he will tell them **EVERYTHING** I command Him. If anyone does not listen to My words that the Prophet speaks in My Name, *I MYSELF WILL CALL HIM TO ACCOUNT*!!
John 14:23-26: Jesus says, If anyone:rolleyes: loves Me, he will obey My teaching. My Father will love him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me will not obey My Teaching. Those words you hear are not My own; they belong to the Father who sent Me. All this I have spoken while still with you. {December 2nd Ad 29 to May 15th AD 33} But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, who the Father will send in My Name,{May 24th AD 33 til the 2nd Coming of Jesus} will teach you all things and **REMIND YOU OF **EVERYTHING** I have said to you.:applause:
Matthew 12:31: Jesus says, Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit WILL NOT BE FORGIVEN!!
Matthew 28:19,20 Jesus said to His disciples, Go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to **OBEY EVERYTHING** I have commanded you!!
I John 2:3-5: We know that we:rolleyes: have come to know Him {Jesus} **IF** we **OBEY HIS COMMANDS**. The man who says, I know Him, but does not do what Jesus **COMMANDS** is a liar, and the truth is not in him!! But **IF** anyone **OBEYS HIS WORD**, God's love is truly made complete in Him!!
And so the Unpardonable Sin in Matthew 12:31 may well be denying that we must **OBEY EVERYTHING JESUS COMMANDS** which the Holy Spirit is continually reminding us!! There many who say that the commands of Jesus in the 4 Gospels are only for Jews in some future dispensation such as the Great Tribulation or the Millenium which of course is a Satanic lie and may be an Unpardonable sin since the Holy Spirit has been continually reminding us to ***OBEY ALL the COMMANDS OF JESUS TODAY AND EVERY DAY**!!:applause::angel:
It is interesting to note that the two unpardonable sins in Revelation 22:18,19 are also for ADDING or TAKING WORDS AWAY from **EVERYTHING JESUS COMMANDS** in Revelation, the Last Book of God's New Covenant.

Matthew chapter 12:31-32; Hear what the Bible scholar God empowered to reveal His word to have to say.
John Gill (born 1697-died1771) an English Baptist Oastor, scholar, theoligian and interpretator of scripture. This is his commentary on Matthew 12: 31-32: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, shall not be forgiven unto
men: by which is meant, not every ignorant denial of, and opposition to his deity and personality; nor all resistance of him in the external ministry of the word; nor every sin that is knowingly and wilfu, lly committed; but it is a despiteful usage of the Spirit of grace, an opposing, contradicting, and denying the operations wrought, or doctrines revealed by him, against a man's own light and conscience, out of wilful and obstinate malice, on purpose to lessen the glory of God, and gratify his own lusts: such was the sin of the Scribes and Pharisees; who, though they knew the miracles of Christ were wrought by the Spirit of God, yet maliciously and obstinately imputed them to the devil, with a view to obscure the glory of Christ, and indulge their own wicked passions and resentments against him; which sin was unpardonable at that present time, as well as under that dispensation then to come, when the Spirit of God was poured down in a more plenteous manner.
Verse 32: And whosoever speaketh a word against the son of man By whom is meant, not any man, as Grotius thought, but the Lord Jesus Christ, so often called "the son of man", on account of his human nature, in which he appeared in great meanness and obscurity. Now many might, through ignorance of him, thinking him to be a mere man, and taking up with common fame, speak evil of him, deny him to be the Messiah, reproach him for the meanness of his parentage and education, and for the freedom of his conversation with publicans and sinners; and do many things contrary to his name, as Saul, whilst a Pharisee did, and thought he ought to do; and yet be afterwards convinced of their mistakes, and be brought to a sense and acknowledgment of them, and obtain pardoning grace and mercy, as Saul did, though a blasphemer; and who is an instance of what is here promised,
it shall be forgiven him through the grace of God, the blood and mediation of Christ, under the application of the blessed Spirit. But whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost,
in the sense before declared, it shall not be forgiven him:
not because the Holy Ghost is greater than Christ; or for want of efficacy in the blood of Christ; or because God cannot pardon it; but because such persons wilfully, maliciously, and obstinately oppose the Spirit of God, without whom there can be no application of pardon made; and remain in hardness of heart, are given up to a reprobate mind, and die in impenitence and unbelief, and so there is no forgiveness for them, neither in this world, nor in the world to come; that is; they shall never be forgiven, see (Mark 3:29) . The distinction here used, does not refer to a common one among the Jews, of the Jewish state and the times of the Messiah; but to the present state of life, and that which will be after, or upon death: and it does not suppose there may be forgiveness of other sins, though not of this, in the other world; but strikes at a notion the Jews had, that there are some sins, which repentance and the day of atonement expiate in this life; but there are others, which repentance and the day of atonement do not expiate; and these a man's death expiates, or makes atonement for. But the sin against the Holy Ghost is such, as is not forgiven, neither before, nor at, nor after death, nor by it: all sins that are forgiven, are forgiven in this world, and that perfectly and at once; and all that are forgiven in this world, there will be a manifestation and declaration of the pardon of them in another; but such sins as are not forgiven here, there will be no declaration of the pardon of them hereafter. In short, the sense is, that the sin against the Holy Ghost never has forgiveness; it is not pardoned now, and consequently there will be no declaration of the pardon of it hereafter.

Arch, those were Jews who rejected Jesus, and denied who He was, and diidn't spirituall know what the communion was all about... as is obvious Richard doesn't understand or know the importance or what the wine and bread means either otherwise, he would not have made such blasphemy statement against the elements/communion of the Lord's body in the church... but then again ignorance God winks at...
We ignorantly disbey God all the time, and sometime willingly disobey, and this is a sin, but there is nothing that says disobeying the Holy Spirit is blesphemey, this is not what Jesus is speaking about ,and I have no idea whet Richerach gets his informamation. Anytime you disobey God you are disobeying the Holy Spirit...
If you read the commentary it clearly states what it is that Jesus is speaking about.
If everytime we disobedied the Holy Spirit, we would all be dead, because God is not going to tolerate too much disobedience from any of us..
Jesus is talking about willfully speaking lies and tempting the Holy Spirit, or using His name in vain as many do the Lord's name. Read the commentary I've posted it spells out all you have need to know about blasphemying the Spirit of God.
The key is not to sin against God PERIOD!, and if we continue to walk in the Spirit, and be filled with the Holy Spirit, and keep learning about the Holy Spirt, I doubt we will find negative time to say anything against Him.

ARCH SAID: What about if... The Holy Spirit Reveals The TRUTH to you and you Know it in Your HEART yet you turn away from it because "...it is to Hard a thing to Believe."
Like those that turned from Christ when Christ Told them that they "Must Eat of My Fleah and Drink of My Blood" Would that be a Sin against The Holy Spirit?
Richard (prophetic 774) SAID: Sounds like a great church for vampires and cannibals! ..
ELLA SAYS; So Richard, what do you mean by your above comment? Are you calling God's communion and those of us who partake in the eating of the Holy elements vanpires and cannibals?

Thank you ET for your brilliant analysis as per your 2 favorite prophets Benny Hinn and Joel Osteen and your defense of the Roman Catholic Mass or MESS.
2 Timothy 3:16; & 2 Tim 4:3,4: **ALL SCRIPTURE** is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.... For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
Matthew 1:24,25: When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her **UNTIL** she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
Mark 6:1,3:Jesus left and went to His hometown...and began to teach...They asked, "Isn't this the carpenter? Isn't this Mary's son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren't His sisters here with us?"
Mark 3:31-34: Then Jesus' mother and BROTHERS arrived. Standing outside...A crowd was sitting around Him, and they told Him, "Your mother and BROTHERS are outside looking for you." "Who are My mother and my brothers?" Jesus asked. Then He looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother!"
Matthew 6:6,9-11: Jesus says, When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your **Father**, who is unseen. Then your **Father**, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you ...This then is how you should pray: Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be your name, your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.....
Is there even one instance where a believer prayed to someone other than the **Father** in the OT or the NT?? Answer; ZERO!
What church had its evil leader decree that it is OK to pray to and worship Mary, a human being, who was a sinless VIRGIN??
I Timothy 3:1-5:If anyone sets his heart on being an Overseer or Bishop, he desires a noble task. Now the Overseer or Bishop must be the husband of but one wife.....He must manage his own family well..If anyone does no know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church? I Tim 3:12 and Titus 1:6: Deacons and Elders should also be the husband of but one wife.
I Corinthians 9:5: Paul said Don't we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other Apostles and the Lord's brothers and Cephas {PETER} What church became famous for having thousands of their unmarried priests fondle and seduce hundreds of thousands of innocent and trusting children??
Matthew 23:9: Jesus says, Do not call ANYONE on earth 'father,' for you have ONE {Spiritual} Father, and He is in Heaven!! What Church calls all their priests spiritual Fathers?? And their Satanic leader Holy Father??
This Church actually claims that they do not worship Mary but what are all these "Hail Mary's" all about??? Actually this Church worships and prays to Mary far more than they worship Jesus and His Father combined even though God's Word commands us over 100 times to Worship and pray to GOD ALONE!!
Hebrews 9:15,26b-28: Christ is the mediator of a NEW COVENANT so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance--now that He has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant...But now He has APPEARED ONCE FOR ALL at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the SACRIFICE of Himself... so Christ was SACRIFICED ONCE to take away the sins of many people, and He will *APPEAR* a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him. Hebrews 10:10: We have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus **ONCE FOR ALL**!!
What Church believes that Jesus has to die every day except Good Friday to take away sins and that Satanic priests have the power to change wine into the blood of Jesus and wafers into the body of Jesus which they eat.
Sounds like a great church for vampires and cannibals!!

Ella,
I see your point and agree that Ignorance of The Holy Spirit is a forgivable Sin, but again my Point is what if you know in your Heart the Truth that The Holy Spirit has Given you and yet you turn from it because it is not Convenient for you or it does not bring you enough Glory or Pleasure?
For instancesay you Know in your Heart that Jesus is The True Son of God and the Only Way to Heavenyet because you are in Love with a Muslim woman you convert to Islam and Deny Christ? Your Sin is against The Holy Spirit because you Deny The Truth given you by The Holy Spirit.
Maybe this is not the best example but I hope you get my drift.

Rev 22:16,18,19: Jesus says, I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give *YOU* {The Greek for YOU is plural} this testimony {ALL OF REVELATION} *FOR* the CHURCHES.... I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book. If anyone *ADDS* anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.{Including Eternal HELL:devil:-Rev 14:10,11} And if anyone **TAKES WORDS AWAY** from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city{The New Jerusalem} which are described in this book.
And if you do not have a share in the New Jerusalem there is only one other place:devil: you can go!!

Ella says: Arch, we deny what God speaks to us everyday by not obeying what He tells us to do. It doesn't matter if its marrying a non-believer who is a muslim or a baptist or whatever. This is why we must repent of our sins daily in our prayers from our hearts, asking God for forgive us of our sins which include our sins against Him. If ever anyone should blaspheme the Holy Spirit, you better believe the person would be kn notice unles their heart has wax so cold that the person refuses to even listen when God notifies him/her. But then again, is what has been said out of ignorance, and not from the heart, because the Holy Spirit searches the heart and knows what is with malice rr not, or ignorance.
Marrying a non-believer, when we know the truth is disobedience to God's word, happens all the time, and the eprson knows the truth, because God has told us not to marry anyone who does not believe, and be unequally yoked. But this can also take place when you marry a person who confesses and professes to be a believer in Christ and he/she turns out not to be, and you're still unequally yoked, and God still warned you about the person , but you ignored the warning and signs He was showing, and found yourself in a big mess, in disobedience. God commands us to do a lot of things in oreder for us to stay and be holy, and we know what He speaks is the truth because we can read it for oursleves in His word, and yet, we still disbey and don't follow what he tells or commands us to do.
So it doesn't matter if the person is a Muslim or a so-called Christian who still does not know who Jesus is in their heart...
There are many who claim to be Christinas who are not converted from their ways of sin, and have not allowed the Holy Spirit to complete His work in them. Ther is no showing of change or newness of godly character, ebing born again from above.
Being saved and being born again are not the same. One is saved by believing in Christ Jesus and His work on the cross. Being Born Again is being filled , baptized with the Holy Spirit of God and allowing Him to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and convert us into a new creation in Chirst. Like the theif on the cross was saved, but he was not born again, as Jesus speaks about in John chapter 3. Upon being saved a person, begans being born again becasue the Holy Spirit comes immediately to live on the inside of us. And when the person has completely yield their total self to Christ, and allow the Holy Spirit to get His works started and done in us, by changing, converting, and transforimg us into the image of Christ, then we are born agian fo God from above on the inside, our inner person is changed which will not be completed unto Jesus comes. But the process has started. In the process God knows we are going to be disobedient, and this is why the Holy Spiriti takes up residncey inside of us to assist us, and this is why we are told not to greive or resist or reject the presence of the power of the Holy Soirit working on the inside if us teahcing us God's ways.
Maybe the definition of the word BLASPHEMY will help you better understand what it means to blaspheme:
1. A contemptuous or profane act, utterance, or writing concerning God or a sacred entity.
2. The act of claiming for oneself the attributes and rights of God.
3. An irreverent or impious act, attitude, or utterance in regard to something considered inviolable or sacrosanct.
[Middle English blasfemie, from Late Latin blasphēmia, from Greek blasphēmiā, from blasphēmein, to blaspheme. See blaspheme.]
