" ...the conversion of a sinner being not owing to a man's self determination, but to God's determination, and eternal election, which is absolute, and depending on the sovereign Will of God, and not on the free will of man; as is evident from what has been said : and it being very evident from the Scriptures, that the eternal election of saints to the faith and holiness, is also an election of them to eternal salvation; hence their appointment to salvation must also be absolute, and not depending on their contingent, self-determining Will."
So you are Saying that you had No Choice in how you reacted to these Responses and to what you wrote?
As a Calvinist you have to believe that God ForcessorryCauses Everyone to Do What He Decides for usRight? Which Means that Everything that happens in this Worlddoes so Because God Made it to Happen. So thenit Follows that God Made you Respond the Way you RespondedRight?
Sopretty muchyou are an AutoBot Controlled by GodRight?
"The Words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself:
but the Father that dwelleth in Me,
He doeth the Works"
(John 14:10).
"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My Statutes, and ye shall keep My Judgments, and do them... Without Me ye can do nothing"
(Ezekiel 36:26-27; John 15:5).
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the Life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 19 who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness" (Ephesians 4:18).
Ephesians 1:3-5, , "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself according to the good pleasure of His will." It was "in love" that God the Father predestined His chosen ones unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, ........ "according"-according to what? According to some excellency He discovered in them? No. What then? According to what He foresaw they would become? No; mark carefully the inspired answer-"According to the good pleasure of His will."
Isaiah 55:8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. 9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Some would have it that God is not that much different from us.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things.
He is the doer of them all. This is a denial of any type of dualism there is not another power that can cause prosperity or disaster.7
JOB 2:7 So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. 8 Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes. 9 His wife said to him, "Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!" 10 He replied, "You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?"
In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.
God is not the author of sin,but he does allow it to exist,as a matter of fact he created the conditions for it.
The Lord is the author of sin, in this Sober did not sin in what he said.
How's that for a start Isaiah? If you want to start it another way help yourself as I find it next to impossible to start a thread.
Steve it is one thing to post a scripture and it is another to walk in the light of it.
Jn 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
