"But now, as to whether there will be a resurrection of the deadhaven't you ever read about this in the Scriptures? Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, God said, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' So he is the God of the living, not the dead."

Matthew 22:3132

When I book a flight, I always try to avoid stopovers. The reason being is that you can get stuck in airports, especially in a place that has weather fronts that move in. All of a sudden, a little transfer to the next plane is changed, and you are there for hourssometimes overnight. So I always try to get a direct flight.

When a Christian dies, it is a direct flight to heaven; there are no stopovers. The moment we take our last breath on Earth, we take our first breath in heaven. We go into the presence of God.

Remember that Jesus said to the thief on the cross, "I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:43). When the apostle Paul spoke of departing and being with Christ, he didn't say, "I am going to depart and then go into soul sleep." Rather, he said, "I'm torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live" (Philippians 1:2324).

So when we get to heaven, will we have the same bodies? The answer is not exactly. Our resurrection bodies will not be our earthly bodies merely resuscitated, but will be the likeness of the earthly body glorified. God will recover from the dust a body with a definite relationship to one's earthly body, but transformed to suit our new environment.

We are told in 1 Corinthians 15:53: "For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies." There is a bodily resurrection. The very essence of the word "resurrection" speaks of the body. So our bodies will be raised.

Richard, again.. no matter how many time you post the same passages over and over again a zillion times, there is not ONE WORD IN GOD'S WORD that identifies the two witnesses who wikl stand before God as being moese and Elijah... man is only guessing and so are you based on what others says!

No one knows, because God has not told us, and no one knows when this will take place before, after, in the middle or the end of the tribulations period before Jesus returns. You can only GUESS!

This word of prophecy in Revelation chapter11, DOES NOT give us a clue as to who the two witnesses will be it nor does God say who they are, but He does say, these are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth... and the two witneses will do the work God has chosen for them to do and be of help to Israel, and when this is ended it goes on to tell us what happends to them and they ascend into heaven.

Just because Elijah prayed for rain and because Moses turned the river to blood does not mean these are the two witness, and this similarity in the miracles is what others are basing who they think the two witnesses will be, based on the miracles Moses and Elijah did when they were alive.

Some even say it will be John the Baptist and Elijah because of what they will be wearing... and calling people to repentance, so if this is not guess work, then what is it?... because it sure ain't a prophecy revealed by God to say the two witnesses will be Moses and Elijah... God is silent in this matter... and what's the big deal anyway as to who God's two witnesses will be?

BTW ( by the way) Richard, where does it tell us that the two witinesses came from heaven and stood before God of the earth? OR are the two witnesses standing before God in hevane or where? And were does it tell us that they were sent from heaven to earth when they are killed and resurrected by God, that God told them to return back to heaven?

It tell us they were killed, and God breathe His psirit in them and then He told them to come up into heaven and they ascended. But no where des it tells us they returned back into heaven.

Moses and Elijah are already in heaven in spirit form, so if they are the two witnesses, then God tranformed them into human form and sent them to earth, so they could get killed and die, and then stand before God in human bodily form. Then God transformed them BACK INTO INCORRUPTABLE spirit form, so they could re-enter heaven after their death???

Again, I put nothing pass what God can do or will do, because He is God and has all power to do as He pleases, but you tell me where in scripture is there any iclear understanding or indication of this transformation of the two witnesses being Moses and Elijah returning back to earth in human form to preach the gospel and help Israel?... then they get killed and die, and God breathe His Spirit back into them, so that they can re-enter heaven?

Yes, Larazus died the first time and Jesus resurrected him, but the Bible does not tell us how he died the second time, or when he died, or if he even died or was translated into heaven when his time came to leave earth...

We don't know these things because God does not share them with us, which means its not our business. Only what He desires for us to know does He share with us... its man who tries to know more about God's business than he ought to know and God has not said a word in the matter:zzzz:

One last thing Richard, and I'm though with all of this... In Revelation chapter 11, John is telling us about what he sees happening on earth BEFORE Christ comes and during the time of the antiChrist and tribulations... verse 6, we are told that the two witnesses WILL HAVE POWER TO SHUT UP HEAVEN SO THAT IT WILL NOT RAIN, AND THEY WILL HAVE POWER OVER THE WATER TO TURN IT INTO BLOOD, AND SIMITE THE EARTH WITH PLAUES, AS OFTEN AS THEY WILL. ( which means IF THEY SO DESIRES TO DO SO, they have the power to do it) It does not say they will do these things, it says they WILL have the power to do these things IF THEY CHOOSE to do these things.

Verses3, This also lets us know that the two witnesses will be faithful God fear people already here on earth who will be preaching the gospel to the lost unto salvation according to what God gives them, one last chance given by God for salvation.

Two people/ men or whomever chosen by God who will preach for people to be saved, God giving people a last choice for salvation before Christ comes. So how can these two witnesses be Moses or Elijah when they already have/had power to work miracles and are already in heaven? This will be in real time.

Verse 9-10, and when the two are killed, the people who live on EARTH refuse to allow the two to be buried, and will rejoice over the twowiitnesses (God's prophets) who are killed because the two PROPHETS tormented those who lived on earth, because the preached the gospel unto repentance and told them about Jesus Christ...

I'm done with this, if you can't see the truth, to reason, may God open your eyes of understanding. Better yet, we will see when these things take place...:glow:
