It is has been said that in this topic that The word spirit refers to the Holy Spirit, Consider this does the Holy spirit produce fruit or is he Love ,Joy peace, longsuffering, gentlenesss, goodness,

Gal 5: 22But what happens when we live God's way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchardthings like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Galatians 5:22 (New King James Version)

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Galatians 5:22

Amplified Bible (AMP)

Gal 5:22But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,

Many take this word Spirit to be the Holy Spirit, if you will follow the context you will see that is man's spirit that is being spoken of, when man is born again all receive a measure of faith as in general faith, all receive the same measure it is man that is to grow in these attributes, man has been given these items but it is in understanding and know the topic of faith, will a believer ever under these truths.

Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

We all know fruit grow's on the branches and in this context Jesus exhorts us to produce more fruit.

In order to be a doer of the word we have to understand it and the topic matter.

The Holy Spirit is always man's helper never his doer.

Donna, hi.

Love ya. :hearts:

Do you remember which fruits of the Holy Spirit we should have?

I said the otherday:

"But who are you?

What are the fruits of the Holy Spirit in your life?"

Guys, all check the fruits of the Holy Spirit in your lives because God is going to look at them too and judge us accordingly!

He is the Judge!

What are the fruits of the Holy Spirit? Better to say what is the MANIFESTATION of the Holy Spirit in your life?

But the fruit of the Spirit is love:hearts:, joy:yay:, peace:angel:, longsuffering, kindness:dancingp:, goodness:glow:, faithfulness:bow:, gentleness:purpleangel:, self-control:prayingm:. (Galatians 5:22)

Love :hearts:

Joy

Peace

Longsuffering

Kindness

Bahira who is a doer of this scripture you or the Holy Spirit.

Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christs sake hath forgiven you.

4Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

5It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].

6It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.

7Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

8Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy ([a]the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].

You are communicating as if the Holy Spirit does this in the life of the holy Spirit.

If God lives in us, He transforms us and our lives.

That's why we all need to be born of God.

God should live in us and we should die for our sins.

We should be HOLY like God is HOLY.

The Scripture says that without righteousness no one will see God.

Ponder:

4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God;

and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.

4:8 He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love.

4:9 By this was God's love revealed in us,

that God has sent his one and only Son into the world

that we might live through him.

4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us,

and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

{"atoning sacrifice" is from the Greek "hilasmos," an appeasing, propitiating, or the means of appeasement or propitiation - the sacrifice that turns away God's wrath because of our sin.}

4:11 Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.

4:12 No one has seen God at any time.

If we love one another:hearts:, God remains in us:waving:,

and his love has been perfected in us:hearts:.

How can His LOVE be perfected in us?

My love or His LOVE? :hearts:

God live sin us and He transforms us. He does not allow us to sin. He is teaching us. He saves us and He gives us love to each other and faith. He is the source of life. If we live in sins, God does not live in us. We are abandoned by the holy God.

So, if God lives in us, He acts in us and these actions are called 'the manifestation of God' and the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

This love is a clear proof of regeneration/the new birth, and is a touchstone of our professed faith in Christ. Let's read the beautiful description of the nature and effects of love.

It is meant to show the Corinthians that their conduct had, in many respects, been a contrast to it.

1 Corinthians 13

The Greatest Gift

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love:hearts:, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.:rocknroll: 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love:hearts:, I am nothing.:rocknroll: 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love:hearts:, it profits me nothing.:rocknroll:

4 Love :hearts: suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely:boxing:, does not seek its own:ribbit:, is not provoked, thinks no evil:angeldevil:; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity:yay:, but rejoices in the truth:bouncy:; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails:hearts:. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

13 And now abide faith, hope, love:hearts:, these three; but the greatest of these is love:hearts:.

Seeing God Through Love 1 John 4

12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love :hearts:one another, God abides in us, and His love:hearts: has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him:waving:, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit:angel:. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God:waving:, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love:hearts:, and he who abides in love abides in God:hearts:, and God in him.

Bahira first and foremost the gifts of the spirit are not in Christians that have not received the Gift of The Holy Ghost.

You keep saying the holy spirit is the doer of the word, well Jesus says that man will deceive and delude himself.

The problem here is not knowing and understanding the topic of faith.

These truths are only spiritually discerned.

pj get over yourself and your humanism/ finneyism, and read God's word.

The spirit is given at conversion. I know you like to think more highly of yourself, but you need to give up your prideful contentious heart and turn to the Almighty God of the bible.

Hello bahira, by the grace of God they are evident in my life. Praise God for his mercy and love.

Notice Donna I did not say anything about receiving Jesus.

My statement was receiving the Gift of The Holy Ghost, I did not say anything about the new birth, i am not ashamed for I have rightly divided the word of truth.

You should be ashamed for making a mockery of God and his word. Stop spreading such lies of your finneyism that has no scripture to prove such heresy.

I want to see scripture to back up this rightly dividing scripture. This is the second time i have asked you to prove your heresy.

This is the second time you have denied, which is a common practice of Calvinist.
