Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives� tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe. ... Command and teach these things. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. I did just that by pointing out the truth about this mysterious unintelligible prayer language which not found in Scripture and men teach as a prerequisite and mandate in order to show evidence of the Holy Spirit of God to be in you. ... I tell all the brethren about it and will happily discuss it in light of what the Scriptures teach regarding this doctrine. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Truth is always accepted by the heart of a man that is open to the truth. he must first receive it. Post Reply

Do you want to know what I know of to be as sin, Elisha? Sin is lawlessness. 1 Jn 3:4 Sin is falling short of the glory of God. Rom. 3:23 Rebellion against God. Isa. 1:2 Sin is unbelief in God sending His Son; it makes God a liar. 1 Jn. 5:10 Sin is going your own way, planning your life according to your own will, without seeking the will of God. Isa. 53:6 All wrong doing is sin. 1 jn. 5;17 All these are contrary to the law of Christ. Gal. 6:2 That Law according to Christ is LOVE, sister. Jn. 13:34 Now for me to know that this un-Scripturally founded and supported teaching of prayer tongues to be practiced amongst my fellow brethren and not say something about them to warn them of their error, would be sin for me, sister, because Scripture says whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. Was I in disobedience about the content of the Scripture or was that Spirit led, sister? Wow.
