Mt 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Mr 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
Lu 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
John 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
Joh 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Lk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Acts 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
Those that believe The word of God concerning receiving The Holy Spirit and receive the word of God will speak with tongues.

The Gift Agapeton is What?
It is important that every time we see the word tongues(the Greek word is glossa) in Scripture, that we think of this event because even peter said that this is the same gift that the Gentiles got.
What Is The gift here?

Act 2:1 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place.
Act 2:2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.
Act 2:3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them.
Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Act 2:5 Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.
Act 2:6 And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because EACH ONE WAS HEARING THEM SPEAK IN HIS OWN LANGUAGE.
Act 2:7 And they were amazed and astonished, saying, "Are not all these who are speaking Galileans?
Act 2:8 And how is it that WE HEAR, each of us IN HIS OWN NATIVE LANGUAGE?
Act 2:9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
Act 2:10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome,
Act 2:11 both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians--WE HEAR THEM TELLING IN OUR OWN TONGUES THE MIGHTY WORDS OF GOD."
If we look at the text and ask these simple questions, we will easily discern that the WORD OF GOD NEEDS NO DEFENSE OR EXPLANATION FROM MAN'S TRADITIONS.
1. Why was the multitude bewildered when they came together to hear the disciples?
2. What did they say when they came together?
3. Were the disciples speaking in a tongue that the multitude could understand?
4. Who was understanding the tongues being spoken?
5. What were the disciples telling the multitude while speaking in tongues?
It is important that every time we see the word tongues(the Greek word is glossa) in Scripture, that we think of this event because even peter said that this is the same gift that the Gentiles got.
Act 11:15 As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning.
Act 11:16 And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, 'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'
Act 11:17 If then God gave the same gift to them as he gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God's way?"

You can be sure a person has been filled with the Holy Spirit becasue of what God's word say. Anyone who says or think you cannot tell when a person is filled with the Holy Spirit is in error of what scripture teaches.
John 3:8 does not say we cannot tell when, or if a person is filled with the Holy Spirit... This passages describes the character of the Holy Spirit and His behavior as being like and identified as the WIND, the Spirit of the Lord is compared to either the wind or the water or oil.
In This passage Jesus is describing the moviements of the Holy Spirit as being like the WIND.. we don't know when the WIND might blow up and come whether from the south, north, east or west, we don't know where the goes because we can't see it, we don't know how or what its effects are going to be, so is the person who is born of the Spirit. It is to mean that the holy Spirit does His work without anyone telling Hims where, what, when, how or upon whom He give His power, or how much power He gives a person as in spiritual gifts, some people have all the spiritual gifts as the apsotles did.
God and Jesus say we can tell if a person is filled with the Holy Sirit by the fruit they bear. The Holy Spirit demonstartes His power in the life of the believers in their life style, their behavior, conduct, skeech, as scripture makes perfectly clear for us, and how they identify themselves with Christ.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
I Corinthians 12: 3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
We know when a person is filled with the Holy Spirit because the person no longer lives in sin but in righteousness
Romans 8:1...who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Upon accepting Jesus Christ into a person's life through the repentance of sins. the person is immediately FILLED with the power of the Holy Spirit, sealing the person until the day of redemption...
Being Baptized with the Holy Spirit as were the apostles on the day of Pentacost is NOT THE SAME as being FILLED when a person comes to believe in Jesus Christ.ALL BELIEVERS ARE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT WHEN THEY ARE SAVED as scripture teaches us and sealed.
Every person who comes to believes in Jesus Christ is filled with the Holy Spirit, but it is through total surrendering and submission and conversion is the believer BAPTIZED with the fire of the Holy Spirit, this of the fire John, Jesus, and the apsotles spoke about, and the apostles experienced on the day of Pentacost and and you find some people in the Book of Acts who were BAPTIZED WITH THE FIRE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and empowered with the anointing of spiritual gifts, AND Others who received the Holy Spirit were just FILLED with the indwelling power/presence of the Holy Spirit.
There is a differnec between being FILLED AND BAPTIZED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. God 's desire is that ALL BELIEVR surrender and complete their regeneration procesS and be BAPTIZED WITH HIS HOLY GHOST FIRE AND POWER and receive His spiritual gifts for the work in the ministry!
But he desires even the more if sinners would comes to know HIs Son and be FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST SEALED UNTIL THE DAY PF REDEMPTIONS.

So can anyone answer those 5 simple questions by looking at the text?
I never Saw any question's..........
The Acts incident was a promise to be empowered. The disciples already RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT. Yes we agree and I never said otherwise, they where born again in the account within Jn 20:21
There is The Bible Truth The Spirit Within.
There is also The Bible Truth The Spirit Upon as in Days of old and until today This is also known as it was with Jesus The Anointing
glad when they saw the Lord.
Joh 20:21 Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you."
Joh 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.
I know Exactly What Was Said Here: This is a picture of The New birth The Holy Spirit will confirm this statement it is always part of his ministry of those that Have received The gift of The Holy Ghost.
JN 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
JN 4:15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
JN 4:16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
JN 4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
JN 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
JN 4:15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
ET, as I said to you before. Women are NOT TO TEACH because they can be deceived.
Ok Agapeton notice you avoided the question again. do you think for one minute I am not aware of That scripture.
This is where we apply the principle of dividing the word,
Yes The scripture you mentioned is true, so why where they in the upper room, repeating The process?
This scripture is a picture of The Gift of The Holy Ghost.
Jn 7:36 What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?
Jn 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
Jn 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Jn 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

ET, as I said to you before. Women are NOT TO TEACH because they can be deceived
Ge 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
The lord held Adam Accountable for this occasion.
Agapeton You keep mentioning this context:
1Ti 2:11 Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness.
1Ti 2:12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.
1Ti 2:13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve;
1Ti 2:14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.
This is not scripture the Holy Spirit will confirm as against women anointed to teach.
He will lead you to learn of this expressed tradition.
