End Time Revival For the Christians on the Broad Way?

The New Testament predicts a falling away from the truth of the Gospel (II Thessalonians 2: 3-4). Matthew 24: 11,

I Timothy 4: 1, II Timothy 3: 13, and II Peter 2: 1 say that many false prophets will arise and deceive Christians.. Luke 13: 21is on the leavening of the Christian church.

Daniel 12: 7 says "And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished."

Revelation 13: 11-18 describes, in metaphoric language, a Second Beast, who has been called the False Prophet, but who represents many false prophets, as shown by several New Testament texts, including Matthew 24: 11, II Peter 2: 1, and I John 4: 1.

And Revelation 13: 2 explains that the dragon gives the First Beast his power, seat and great authority. We can believe that the dragon also gives his power to the Second Beast.

At the Cross Satan was defeated and restrained to some extent. Revelation 20: 1-3 says

"And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3. And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season."

So, the devil was metaphorically bound and thrown into the bottomless pit at the Cross. But then Revelation 9: 1-3 describes the opening of the bottomless pit, and something called locusts as scorpions came out of the bottomless pit.

At the Cross the devil was restrained so that the Gospel was able to go out to many people. But sometime in the end times that restraint on the devil is released and he goes forth to deceive the people again - and causes those in the churches to follow false prophets and their false doctrines.

This is not a revival, but just the opposite.

The Bible does not spoon feed us. But there are implications from some scriptures that in the very end times a very small group, the Remnant of Israel, will return to the truth of the Gospel.

For example, in the New Testament, Revelation 11, on the Two Witnesses. there will be witnesses to Jesus Christ with the implication that they will become martyrs to Christ. Then in Revelation 12 a metaphoric figure called "The Woman" who gives birth to Christ as the Manchild, is said in verse 17 to have given birth to the remnant who have the testimony of Jesus.

In the Old Testament, Zechariah 13: 8-9 shows, as a broad prophecy, that God will bring one part out of three parts through a fire, will refine them and they will be accepted by him.

"And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God."

Because the Bible does not spoon feed us about what is to happen in the end times, false doctrines have been made up by men describing what is to happen, and somehow claiming to be from God.

Shared ~ And so those who are the children of the flesh, but who mingle the Old and New covenants together as they do in Messianic Judaism, and will claim to be the 144,000 are counterfeits.

*** I'm really not sure what all this post is about...however I do want to ask you another question...Are you saying that Christians that are Born Again that believe in the OT 10 Commandments and also Celebrate the Feasts of the LORD take Sabbath on Saturday and go by the name or group called Messianic are deceived conterfeits and not of GOD's chosen remnant ???...xo

Being born again means one has a love of the truth (II Thessalonians 2: 10-12). The truth is the Gospel of Christ.

If one claims to have the blood of Abraham and is therefore one of God's chosen people because of genetics, one does not have a love of the truth.

The moral law of God is a necessary part of the Gospel, because it shows us how sinful we are. The Ten Commandments reflect the righteousness of God and are part of the moral law. But the ceremonial law has to be separated from the moral law. You cannot accept the entire five books of Moses as "the law," because the ceremonial law contains shadows of the substance which was to come, and to return to the shadows is to deny Christ.

What you wrote as questions can be read as agreement with the belief that those who have the bloodline from Abraham, and observe the shadows (Hebrews 10: 1, Colossians 2: 17) remain the chosen people and are somehow born again in Christ also. What do you think Hebrews 10: 9, "He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second" means?

Are you following dispensationalism plus Hebrew Roots, Sacred Name Theology and honor Messianic Judaism? Or are you caught in what some call residual dispensationalism? That is sticking to some fundamental teachings of dispensationalism, while perhaps not believing in all of its teachings, such as the pre-trib rapture? A fundamental part of dispensationalism is the belief that all Jews, regardless of whether they reject or accept Christ, remain God's chosen people. While the Bible does not spoon feed us on this issue, we have to put two and two together to make four and see from a number of texts that God divorced physical Israel and transformed Israel into a remnant which is now spiritual, and all the fleshly things of the Old Covenant are done away with. But not the moral law.
