America At It's Best

I was reading this article today about Reclaiming Our Nations Heritage. It was saying that God is mentioned 4 times in the Declaration of Independence, it stated that firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence. Divine Providence defined in the 1828 Original Websters Dictionary states The care and superintendence which God exercises over His people So our Founding Fathers were acknowledging that God was guiding them in His Plans for America. So thats where Provential History comes into play which is including God in our historical studies. So why has the Christian Faith been deleted from history textbooks and other forms of teaching. Secular humanism has crept into our institutions leaving this country a big mess. So what should be done about this? What can we do to change this as Christians?

*** His focus is and always has been...Israel...

Shared ~ NO! God loves everyone..so I disagree with that comment. Back that up with Scripture.

*** Of course I can...it is found in the Bible from Genesis to Revelations...Hebrew~Israel~Jews are God's chosen people...they always have been and always will be...when they turned away from God and rejected His Son Christ Jesus as Messiah, God turned to the Gentiles~Pagans...(everyone else)...as He said He would...and YES!!!...He LOVES every one...However this does not "exclude" the Hebrew~Israel~Jew nor does it "exclude" Israel as God's focus...

*** I do agree whole Heartedly the HolySpirit will lead "ALL" God's people concerning change in the USA and Israel if it be His WILL...so...we must Pray in the Spirit and listen for His dirrection...xo

It is always his will that was settled before the foundation of time and he never changes.

GodsJude- :waving:

Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nations, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him. Genesis 18: 18

Psalms 47- Clap your hands all you nations: shout to God with cries of joy. For the Lord Most High is awesome. The great King over all the earth.

Psalms 67- So that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.

Psalms 82- Rise up, O God, judge the earth for all the nations are your inheritance.

And thats not all of the Psalms that talk about all nations.

This is the plan determined for the whole world; this is the hand stretched out over all nations. Isaiah14:26

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations. Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out the appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. Acts 17:26-27

Scripture foresaw that god would justify the gospel in advance to Abraham: All nations will be blessed through you. So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. Galatians 3:8-9

Oh many more!

I also like the many translations of the Bible. It builds my vocabulary and my teens vocabulary too. We were actually having a Bible study and we all had different translations so I took that opportunity to build vocab. We would stop and they would look up the different words on dictionary dot com that also gave us a chance to talk about a particular verse and really get to know what it means. I bet they remember those verse meanings well!

Have you ever researched the differences between translations and why they have been changed? How do you resolve the issue of missing verses between translations? Have you researched the method/people behind the different translations? There are some translations that remove references to Hell, refer to God as a female, omit the blood atonement for sins, etc. Copyright laws require a percentage of the Bible to be changed for a new copyright and to avoid plagiarism....I'm personally not comfortable with changing God's Word.

Revelation 22:18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

To go back to the reason behind my comment...society started drastically changing when Christians didn't take a stand for values and allowed non-Christians to change the Word.

Any English translation technically a change of God's word. The most consistent translations we have in English though are the NASB and the ESV.

Teach B - no I haven't come across those translations that leave out Hell and the other things you mentioned. If I do I dont think I would feel comfortable reading them either. Im not about changing God's word just learning more of the Bible. I currently have the NIV, ESV, NASB, NKJV and I think I have a NLT.

What I will do next is get myself a Greek and Hebrew Interlinear Bible and concordance. Then I could tell what has been changed or get the real words for verses.

So why has the Christian Faith been deleted from history textbooks and other forms of teaching?

maybe they were refering to the god of this world?
