Bob got out of Bed at 7 am this morning.

It does not say Bob chose to get of bed at 7a.m. but it is known by most it was a choice.

Sharon hit the snooze button two times this morning.

It does not say Sharon chose to hit the snooze, but it is known to most she made a choice to hit the snooze button.

The father knows it is so:

The Son knows it is so:

The Holy Spirit knows it is so:

All three know that the same way man choose to stop for a stop sign the same man choose to accept Jesus or reject him.

Satan knows very well how productive it is to twist this simple truth.

you may call it a choice but if the deack is already stacked, there isn't much choice involved.

The problem starts when the argument spans different levels of conciousness.Yes God's plan is very simple on the surface. But can be found very complex, intertwined and ever unfolding as ytou look deeper into it.

They are not contrasting ideas, just views of the same on differenet levels by the filter of your owns lifes experience.

You may think you have chosen to wake up at 8 but whom has placed the desire to do so in you?

Like they say,you can lead a horse to water butb you can't make him drink...though you can feed him a little salt can't

Intellectual discourse has no merit, or place in a biblical topic of faith.

" there will be people here that present a higher, deeper knowledge of the basic language of the Bible."

As they should. I want the truth, not whatever you think is the most basic.

Interesting statement, brother.

So how does one read or respond to this topic without it?

Agapeton,

This discussion has been had many times and he claims to get all of his knowledge form the Holy Spirit so that he does no thinking. While I do think we gain in knowledge through the Spirit, PJ uses it to claim that no person with a view that opposes him can be right because the Holy Spirit tells him so. Basically it's a way for him to not have to defend his view when he feels he isn't capable of doing so.

Another common tactic from him is to say He does everything as God would.

Correct that Ryan

That statement starts in the word of God, if you do not accept that, that is your choice and your unbelief.

"PJ, unfortunately as you have stated on other threads, it doesn't matter how straight forward the truth is presented...or how obvious the words are in the verse, there will be people here that present a higher, deeper knowledge of the basic language of the Bible. Words we learned and used throughout our lives take on entirely different meanings."

9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
