"I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word." [Yohanan/John 17:6]
Here we have Jesus/Yahusha teaching that He came to manifest the teachings of the Torah, the Nevi'im, the Prophets, and the Writings, which comprise what is known as the Tanakh, to the disciples and apostles.
Why would Jesus be praying to the Father, telling Him that He manifested His name unto the men [bachiyr - "anointed ones"] that He had given to Jesus, which were the disciples and apostles, and that "THEY HAVE KEPT THY WORD", if this were not true?
What WORD is Jesus talking about here?
"THY WORD"...?
You cannot teach that Jesus was talking about the New Testament, for the New Testament was about 300 years away ~ It was compiled in 300AD!
Take this scripture [above] to the individual you call a "teacher", "a pastor", whatever you refer to him/her by, and ask them... "What WORD can Jesus be talking about in the Garden the night before His execution, if He is not referring to "THY WORD", or the Torah, the Nevi'im, the Prophets, and the Writings, which comprise what is known as the Tanakh?
Here is the Father [Abba YaHUaH (YHUH), by His prophet Isaiah/Yeshayahu] speaking of His His Word, the TORAH, and how it will NOT return to Him void:
"For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." [Yeshayahu/Isaiah 55:10-11]
DO NOT BELIEVE MEN, BELIEVE THE WRITTEN WORD!
Here we have Paul reiterating that the LAW HAS NOT BEEN DONE AWAY WITH, just because we now live by faith!
"Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law." [Romi'im/Romans 3:31]

He did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.
But the New Testament was completed by Saint John in about 60 A.D. The canon of NT Books was already decided by Saint John while he was still alive, in the 1st century A.D., not 300 A.D.
Saint John lived until about 100 A.D. He outlived the other Apostles by decades. The early Christians accepted the Bible as Saint John gave it to them. Since Revelation was the last Book written, the canon was already established for about 40 years while Saint John was alive. This is the traditional canon. The catholic canon was established in the 4th century A.D., when Rome split from Christianity and started catholicism.
Catholics teach that they decided the canon. This is heresy. John taught that Christians should keep Torah, including Passover. This is confirmed in the writings of the early Christians.
