A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. 14But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. 15And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. 17And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. 18And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. 19And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. 20And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: 21For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. 22And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: 23Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? 24And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. 25(And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) 26For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. 27But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

" highlight"

Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant.

So what came out of his mouth? 20And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound,

So the question I pondered is what is everyone given from God? What are the talents?

The talents are the attributes of God given to every human saved and unsaved.

lets take the attribute of Love. God is love. Even unbelievers experience and benifit fro Gods attribute of love here and now. Some hide love out of fear of what others think like this wicked servent.

Some are so wicked in their minds with hatred that love can not spring forth. Some earth dwellers spread the earthly love. This is the interest spoken about here in this passage.

The faithful servent is the one who knows the love of God and increases the love of God in others by directing hearts toward God.

This parrible just came into focus for me and I know some will ridicule me but that doesnt matter.

We are either increasing in the love of God or we are not. We are either encouraging other to increase in the love of God or we are not.

Ultimately love leads to praise in God and praise leads to joy in us. Joy frees us from hatred and bitterness and fear.

Love , joy and peace are of Gods Kingdom where hatred, bitterness and fear are of the kingdom of darkness.

What are you promoting in others? This is the fruit of righteousness or of destruction.

Love is one attribute only. You cannot drink milk all day every day and have a healthy diet. At some point, you will have to understand other attributes: TRUTH, WRATH, HATRED, HOLINESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS, JUSTICE, JEALOUSY, etc.

You err by continuing to promote a flawed reductionist humanistic single dimensional god.

But the greatest of theses is love...for without God's love, we would all be doomed for an eternity in Hell, the literal lake of fire

"But the greatest of these is love" Ripped from the context again.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. Of those three things listed, the greatest is charity. More perversion of the Word.

Without God's love, ALL would be doomed to His wrath, justice, etc. so, to ME the greatest is His love...for He loved me SO much that He gave His only begotten Son...

You can choose whichever of His attributes as His greatest, as for me and my house, I choose His love as His greatest attribute.

At least., you are admitting that you pick and choose to believe whatever you want. Good to see that finally.

IWA: "At least., you are admitting that you pick and choose to believe whatever you want. Good to see that finally."

****

I didn't say I picked and chose what I believe. I believe the ENTIRE Bible, not jut a few verses here and there.

There are certain things I focus on...such as the awesome love of God. Yes, I know He is Truth, Justice, Wrath, Sovereign, Righteous, Merciful, Jealous, etc.

I CHOOSE to focus on His love for me because without His love, I would be doomed. I DESERVE His Justice, His Wrath...I do NOT deserve His Mercy or His Grace, but through His love, I can experience both His Mercy and His Grace.

I will not choose to assign one of his attributes a higher position than his others. You can pick and choose to believe whatever you want.
