But they will mock me for saying so and say they have this grand commision to convert us to their doctrine. So they will continue to mock and come because they lack self controll. Even against their own words and doctrine they cant refuse the drive in them to be contentious. Post Reply

We need to stop going into their houses ( threads) and creating contentions with them. Let them fellowship anong their selves in their doctrines and mockery and we fellowship agmonst our selves in Spirit and truth. Post Reply

A mutual sharing, as of an experience,activity, interest, etc. A group of people with the same interests, company, brotherhood. Websters dictonary. What is contentions? The act of contending, strife,struggle, controversy, dispute , quarrel, ect A statement or point one argues as true or valid. Contentious? always ready to argue,quarrelsome. Of or marked by contention. See we are called to give an account and also give an answer and to contend for the faith..............BUT that is not all we are called. We also are called to peace. I beieve one reason many unbelievers are put off by Christianity is because of the consistant contention that goes on in it. If anyone we should appologise to is unbelievers because what does it proffit the body to fight against its self? What does that make the contention in the body? Cancer When we engage with contention against another believer in the faith we are participating in a canerous activity and we all know what cancer produces? Death.......right? Post Reply

I have a brother , a real blood brother who I interact on occasion in business. Most every time I see him he has this inner contention within himself. He in his mind makes things out to be problems that he hasent lifted one finger to decide if it is really a problem. He is full of nervous energy. His nervous energy comes out in great contentions, why? Beause he in side is contentious and not in peace. It truly is beautiful in the wings of God where we find peace and safety. In the flock of the shepeard we find security. At the foot of the cross where we find righteousness. In the hands of the potter we are being reformed. In the presence of the KING we find adoption as children. We are wealthy people. We are the richest most blessed people on the face of the planet and we are Gods. Let us act as such with dignity and honor. Post Reply
