Question:Why does Yeshua tell these people to depart from Him for doing good works?

Hello everyone:
In the following Scripture,Yeshua does not commend the people for doing what appears to be good works.
WHY?
You will not find the answer in the English translations.
You must find the answer in the Greek Scriptures.
Mat 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of Heaven, but the ones who do the will of My Father in Heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many works of power?
Mat 7:23 And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; "depart from Me, those working lawlessness!" Psa. 6:8

*** Correction below ***
*** Georgeif Yahshua wanted or needed the Scripture in Matthew 7 to include the word NOT Im more than positive He would have had it translated as such
*** *** CorrectionI meant to write ~ in Matthew 7 to NOT include the word NOT
*** There is a translation that doesnt have the word NOT which is the NLT which changes the meaning from a question to a statementother translations use didnt as in a questionhere are some examples
KJV ~ Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, [[[ have we not ]]] prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
NLT ~ On judgment day many will say to me, 'Lord! Lord! [[[ We prophesied ]]] in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.'
*** This is a statement not a question and excludes the word NotHummm I dont wonder why
Georges translation ~ Lord Lord, [[[ NOT in ]]] your name did we prophesy, and in your name demons cast out, and your name perform miracles.
*** George is retranslating Scriptureswitching the structure and making a statementHummm
Aramaic Bible in Plain English
Many will say to me in that day, 'My Lord, my Lord, [[[ have we not ]]] prophesied in your name, and in your name have cast out demons, and have done many mighty works in your name?'
*** GeorgeAre you aware that the NT was originally written in Aramaic which is Old Hebrew [[[ which Yahshua and His followers spoke ]]] and then it was translated into Greek ???...PleaseDont take my word for itdo your own research
*** And George if you choose to Re-Translate Scripture by all means do soI know you are passionate about your studiesHowever if you believe me calling out error is making fun of you then there is a double error and I must proving all thingsdon't take it personal...Obviously I use the KJV..
KJV ~ Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
NLT ~ but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.

George,
Millions of Christians world wise pray to Jesus in their native languages and He hears their prayers. They call Him by equivalents of His name Yeshua in their languages and these names are NOT in Hebrew!
How does He hears their prayers even before they utter them?
He is the Omniscient God like His Father.
That is why He hears how Americans call Him Jesus or even do not call Him by His name in their prayers.

Jude:
Mat_7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many works of power?
The english translations have taken the word 'ou' ouy from the Greek Scriptures in order to write the english as they have.
Strong's Concordance
ou, ouk, ouch: not, no
Original Word: οὐ
Part of Speech: Particle, Negative
Transliteration: ou, ouk, ouch
Phonetic Spelling: (oo)
Short Definition: no, not
Definition: no, not.
HELPS Word-studies
3756 ou no ("not"). 3756 (ou) objectively negates a statement, "ruling it out as fact."
[3756 (ou) is written ouk before smooth breathings and oux before a rough breathing.]
If your AKJV is correct then why does Messiah tell these people to get away from Him for He NEVER has and Never will know them.
What is lawless about prophesying in Yeshua name,or casting out demons in Yeshuas name,or doing works of power in Yeshuas name.
WHY would He refuse to knowing them,Please explain.
You will find the answer in the Greek Scriptures.
Mat_7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many works of power?
Mat 7:23 And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; "depart from Me, those working lawlessness!" Psa. 6:8

George...you are saying the same thing and I have supplied enough referances and material for you to the contrary. Obviously you have not researched anything I have supplied...how do I know this ?...
*** GeorgeAre you aware that the NT was originally written in Aramaic which is Old Hebrew [[[ which Yahshua and His followers spoke ]]] and then it was translated into Greek ???...PleaseDont take my word for itdo your own research
Because I blatantly wrote this to see if you are reading anything I wrote. As anyone can see by reading this I have stated that the NT was originally written in Aramaic and translated into Greek and this is not true. The majority is in Greek. However there are portions in Ancient Aramaic and also Modern Hebrew of the time.
I know you are passionate about your "Greek"...just as I am about all the lanuages I study...However I'm not passionate about Arguing a point that is pointless...
Jesus tells those to get away because they do lip service only and dont really know him...end of story...I pray you will have a Blessed day in GOD's Grace...

Hi Jude:
This is an interesting Scripture,Messiah commends those which have cast out demons in His name,Yet in Matthew 7:21-23 Yeshua basically condemns those which had cast out demons in His name.
Mar 9:37 Whoever receives one of such children on My name receives Me. And whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but the One having sent Me.
Mar 9:38 And John answered Him, saying, Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, who does not follow us. And we forbade him, because he does not follow us.
Mar 9:39 But Jesus said, Do not forbid him. For there is no one who shall do a work of power in My name, yet be able to speak evil of Me quickly.
Mar 9:40 For who is not against us is for us.
So then which am i to believe, that Messiah will not condemn me for casting out demons in His name,or that Messiah will condemn me for casting out demons in His name, which should people be believing.
