KEEP His commandments
Posted : 3 Sep, 2014 05:33 AM

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear God and keep His commandments:bow:, for this is man's all.

 Ecclesiastes 12:13

Should we OBEY God keeping/implementing His commands?

God said:

Leviticus 22:31

So you shall keep my commandments and do them: I am the Lord."

The Son of God says:

Matthew 5:17-22

Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them :bow:and teaches them :angel:will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness :angel:exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus tells to Christians:

Matthew 7:21-23

Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name? And then will I declare to them, I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness:angeldevil:.

1 John 3:21-24

Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep:bow: his commandments and do :angel:what pleases him. And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ:applause: and love:hearts: one another, just as he has commanded us. Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God:hearts:, and God:angel: in him.

And by this we know that we have come to know him (GOD), if we keep his commandments:bow:. Whoever says I know him but does not keep his commandments is a liar:angeldevil::devil:, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word:angel::hearts:, in him truly the love of God:hearts: is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk :hearts::angel:in the same way in which he walked.

The Son of God says:

If you love me, keep my commands.

John 14:15

If you are seeking fulfillment, purpose, or meaning from this world and from human accomplishments, I have some bad news: you will never find it. There is nothing in the world that will fill the deepest void in your lifenot the ultimate car, not the greatest job, not the most beautiful girl or the most handsome guy, not the greatest education. There is nothing that can even come close.

King Solomon, one of the wealthiest men who ever lived, had everything he wanted. Yet he went on a binge, trying to satisfy his appetites with the wrong things. He went after passion. He went after possessions. He went after things of beauty and buildings and land. He drank, and he partied. After all of that, here was his conclusion: "Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun" (Ecclesiastes 2:11, NLT).

Have you ever been ravenously hungry and tried to satisfy your appetite with snacking? It just doesn't work. You want a real meal. In the same way, we were created with a God-shaped hole in our lives. We have been created to love God, to know God, and to bear fruit. Everything else is secondary.

Think about it: everything else in life, every other responsibility, no matter how significant, must be ordered behind the central purpose of your existence on earthknowing, loving, and serving your Creator. Yes, God cares about your career, your marriage, your family, and your ministry. But knowing Him, prioritizing Him, is number one. And when you do, the Bible says you never will be a loser for it.

Jesus said it like this: "Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously:angel::hearts:, and he will give you everything you need" (Matthew 6:32-33, NLT).

Hello everyone:

Hello Jude:

Jude, first i want to say that you are one of the few people one this site which is seeking the truth, by going to the Languages the Word of GOD Almighty has been written in.

Most 'pastors, preachers, teachers' of the Word of GOD do not look into the Languages which the Scriptures have been written into. Most will not attempt

to translate the Word of GOD,for they believe that is a waste of time because they have been told in the cemeteries not to question the translations.

Now let us see exactly what Messiah Yeshua had said about the Gospel.

We will look into Mark 1:14-15 first, and there are a lot of translations which have this correct, yet the people teaching the sheeple, are leading them astray by telling them they need to 'repent' of their 'sins' AND to trust Yeshua.

Parallel Verses

New International Version

14 After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God.

New International Version

15 "The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!"

New Living Translation

14 Later on, after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, where he preached God's Good News.

New Living Translation

15 "The time promised by God has come at last!" he announced. "The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!"

Now notice with the NLT transaltion they have ADDED the word SIN which cannot be found within the GREEK Scriptures.

English Standard Version

14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God,

15 and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.

New American Standard Bible

14 Now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God,

15and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."

King James Bible

14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Holman Christian Standard Bible

14 After John was arrested, Jesus went to Galilee, preaching the good news of God:

15 "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe in the good news!"

International Standard Version

14 Now after John had been arrested, Jesus went to Galilee and proclaimed the gospel about the kingdom of God.

15 He said, "The time is now! The kingdom of God is near! Repent, and keep believing the gospel!"

NET Bible

14 Now after John was imprisoned, Jesus went into Galilee and proclaimed the gospel of God.

15 He said, "The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the gospel!"

Aramaic Bible in Plain English

14 After Yohannan was delivered up, Yeshua came to Galilee and was preaching The Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

15 And he said, Time is coming to an end. The Kingdom of God has arrived. Repent and believe in The Good News.

GOD'S WORD Translation

14 After John had been put in prison, Jesus went to Galilee and told people the Good News of God.

15 He said, "The time has come, and the kingdom of God is near. Change the way you think and act, and believe the Good News."

Here is another translation which has added to the Word of GOD

Change the way you act, should not be here, for the mind has be changed towards GOD Almighty.

Jubilee Bible 2000

14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God

15

and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ye and believe the gospel.

King James 2000 Bible

14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel.

American King James Version

14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent you, and believe the gospel.

American Standard Version

14Now after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God,

15 and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe in the gospel.

Douay-Rheims Bible

14 And after that John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15 And saying: The time is accomplished, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel.

Darby Bible Translation

But after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee preaching the glad 14 tidings of the kingdom of God,

15 and saying, The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn nigh; repent and believe in the glad tidings.

English Revised Version

14 Now after that John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God,

15 and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe in the gospel.

Webster's Bible Translation

14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Weymouth New Testament

Then, after John had been thrown into prison, Jesus came into Galilee proclaiming God's Good News.

"The time has fully come," He said, "and the Kingdom of God is close at hand: repent, and believe this Good News.

World English Bible

14 Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom of God,

15 and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News."

Young's Literal Translation

14 And after the delivering up of John, Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of the reign of God,

15 and saying -- 'Fulfilled hath been the time, and the reign of God hath come nigh, reform ye, and believe in the good news.'

Even Youngs has added the word 'reform'

Now let us look into other Scripture pertaining to Repenting of UNBELIEF ,believing the Gospel unto Salvation.

Here is a letter i had written to a ministry which has a number of radio stations broadcasting their show.

The letter is dated AUGUST 15,2014,and i have not gooten ANY response as of this writing.

A few weeks ago i heard a man say that a person needs to REPENT of their sins AND trust Jesus in order to be saved.

When i had gotten home,i had written this letter to the ministry,as of this day 4 Sept.2014,i have not gotten ANY response from this ministry, which tells me they do not want to know the truth, nor to even proclaim the truth of the GOSPEL of Yeshua.

To whom it may concern:

I happen to be a truck driver ( tractor trailer ),and sometimes i might listen to

570 AM in New York,WMCA.

Last week i was waiting for the truck to be loaded, and i turned on the radio,i had heard James MacDonald speaking, and at some point he mantioned salvation as turning from ones sins, and trusting Jesus.

I have to disagree with this assessment of the Gospel,as that is not the message of Saving Grace.

The mesaage of the Gospel is very simple,so simple that if GOD Almighyt had madeit any harder not one person would be saved from the wrath

of GOD Almighty.

The Gospel is this:

Mar 1:14 And after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Mar 1:15 and saying, The time has been fulfilled, and the kingdom of God draws near. Repent and believe in the gospel.

Nowhere does Messiah ever say to repent of ones sins to be saved,a person is to repent of their UNBELIEF,Believe the Gospel.

Where else is the simplisity of the Gospel found.( No mention of repenting of SIN found here).

John 3:14 And even as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

John 3:15 that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

John 3:18 The one believing into Him is not condemned; but the one not believing has already been condemned, for he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Again no repenting of sin mentioned here!

Act 16:30 And leading them outside, he said, Sirs, what must I do that I may be saved?

Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.

Act 16:32 And they spoke the Word of the Lord to him, and to all those in his house.

Next Scripture concerning Salvation in Messiah Yeshua.

Again no mention of repenting of sin necessary unto salvation!

Eph 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

Eph 2:5 even we being dead in deviations, He made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are being saved), BY GRACE YOU ARE BEING SAVED, (you were saved in the past, you are presently being saved and you will be saved in the future).

Eph 2:8 For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;

Eph 2:9 not of works, that not anyone should boast;

Eph 2:10 for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them.

IF a man, woman,or child is able to REPENT of their sin, before being saved by the Grace of GOD ALMIGHTY,then they would not need the Grace of GOD to save them.

The Grace of GOD Almighty was hung upon the cross, and the Grace runs downhill by faithing into Yeshua, never up the hill of pride called REPENTING of sin(s).

Repenting of ones sin in order to trust Yesuha to save you is WORKS,and works do not save,ONLY be the Grace of GOD Almighty THROUGH Faith saves a person .

Oh by the way, after faithing into Messiah does a person need to repent of sin,or repent of their UNBELIEF.

We confess our sins, yet the root of any sin is UNBELIEF.

In this little analogy leaves represent sin,and the tap root represents unbelief.

When any lanscaper wants to remove a tree,do they remove the leaves,or do they remove the tap root.

Man will sin until the day ABBA removes the peron from this life, the person sins because they have a SINFUL nature will can never be repented of.

GOD Almighty will destroy the sinful nature along with everything in this life, then He will make everythig NEW.

Rev_21:5 And the One sitting on the throne said, Behold! I make all things new. And He says to me, Write, because these Words are faithful and true.

My name is George

Thank you so much for listening to the rantings of a truck driver.

Thank you George. I appreciate your studies also and taking time to share with us all.

Shared ~ Repenting of ones sin in order to trust Yesuha to save you is WORKS, and works do not save, ONLY be the Grace of GOD Almighty THROUGH Faith saves a person.

*** You are combining Repentance of Sins and Works here in this statement which are two entirely different topics. Lets focus on Repentance 1st.

*** We Repent of Sins because we Learn we are Sinners not because we are Trusting in Jesus to save us from Works!!! Un-Saved folks Dont know the Difference betwixt Grace and Works Because theyve NEVER Heard the Gospel and Dont Know they ARE Sinners and they Sure dont know GOD, Jesus, Holy Spirityet :o).

*** We NEED the Grace of GOD Almighty because we are Sinners and Separated from GODThis we Learn by Reading HIS Words in the Beginning of the Holy Scriptures in Genesis where the Fall of man and woman happened and also by Hearing HIS Word Preached!!!

*** 2nd ~ The only WORK we are to do is found in

John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

*** We labor not for the Meat which PERISHthat is anything other than GOD, Jesus, Holy Spirit. But for that Meat which ENDURETH unto Everlasting Life!!! And Jesus gives that!!!...Thank you and Praise YOU Sweet Jesus!!!

28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

*** They are NOT asking Jesus what WORK must we Do to Repentthey are asking what must they do for EVERLASTING Life!!!

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

*** Believe on/in Him whom GOD has Sent. Once again a person Can Not BELIEVE in Jesus if they Dont Know GOD, Jesus, Holy Spirit and they Wont Know them UNTIL they HEAR the Gospel. The Good News. More on this to come below.

Shared ~ Oh by the way, after faithing into Messiah does a person need to repent of sin, or repent of their UNBELIEF.

*** A person cant Repent of Unbelief if they do not Believe they are a Sinner and have Transgressed the law therefore NEEDING a Savoiur. They cant Believe in Jesus nor Know of HIM nor have Faith in Him without knowing what Faith Truly is and How they Get it!!!

*** Short Definition: pistis: faith, faithfulness, belief, trust!

*** How can a Un-Saved person Repent, Have FAITH, BELIEVE, Trust or Do or Dont Do a Work if they dont know WHY or WHO ???

Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

*** A person cant Receive Faith until they Hear

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Shared ~ We confess our sins, yet the root of any sin is UNBELIEF.

*** What is Sin ?...Biblical Sin ???...not what man or woman thinks it is. Only by what GOD Almighty says it is!!!

1 John 3:4a Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:

[[[ 3:4b for sin is the transgression of the law. ]]]

^^^ This is GODs Diffination of Sin ^^^

Mans definition of sin based on the Biblical definition is

1. Sin noun - an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law.

*** What is the Hebrew diffinition of sin Its a noun and means Crouching Beast. I ask, Who is the Crouching Beast?. Lucifer, Satan, Anti Christ. Anyone or Anything that is Contrary to GOD. John 8:43-45.

Jesus speaking ~ Written in BLOOD Red

Luke 24:44-49 (KJV)

44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

*** Notice - He says the Law of Moses (10 commandments), Prophets, Psalms concerning Him!!!

45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

*** Jesus opened their understandingAmazing!!!...Thank you LORD Jesus!!!

46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

*** Notice It is Written

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

*** Notice - Jesus own WORDAND that repentance and remission of sins be preached in HIS name among All Nations beginning at Jerusalem.

Jesus doesnt sayRepent in Order to Trust in ME to Save you from Works. Jesus doesnt say Repent of your [ Un-Belief ] to save you from Anything. That is Squishing into Scripture what is Not there!

Jesus says to His disciples to Preach Repent and Remission of Sins in that order Combining Both REPENT and REMISSION of SINS in One sentence. Jesus Made NO Mistake in this Teaching to His disciples and us. We need not make a Mistake either!!!

48 And ye are witnesses of these things.

*** YEmeaning YOU are Witnesses of these things

49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

*** Jesus True to His WORD sent the Holy Spirit just as He said He wouldJohn 14:15-17 and it is that very Spirit that continues to Teach us.

*** If a person doesnt know they are a Sinner and Separated from GOD and going to Hell when the Wrath of GOD comes when Jesus returns, Then why would a person Preach Repent of Unbelief when Obviously the person being Preached to doesnt even Believe in Jesus???

*** Im not saying you are Preaching to me George. You are simply sharing with me and others here your Believest Only Perspective of how you believe it to be. And I appreciate that very much. However I disagree with the Repent of Unbelief and this is why.

*** A Un-Repentant person cannot Repent of Unbelief if they dont Believe in AnythingThat is why we Preach the WAY Jesus tells us to.

*** Just like He said in Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

*** Beginning with the Law (10 commandments). Then the Prophets. Then Jesus. This is how all the Apostles Preached including those as

Phillip ~ Acts 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him JesusRead Acts 8:31-40

Stephan ~ Read Acts 6:5-10

10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

*** Stephan is one of the Bestest for Preaching and Convincing people of the entire Truth of the Gospel from beginning to end!!!...I LOVE his style of Preaching!!!

and even

Paul ~ 1 Cor 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Col 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

*** I leave here with some simple Scriptures and a few comments between

Prov 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

Isa 33:6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

Jer 2:19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

***The Gospel isnt about Un-Beliefit is about Jesus and GODs Grace of SalvationWhy do we need Grace ???...Not because we are Un-Believers. It is Because we All are Sinners and have Transgressed the Law of GOD

1 John 3:4a Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:

[[[ 3:4b for sin is the transgression of the law. ]]]

1 John 1:7-9

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

*** We walk in the light as HEWe Fellowship one with anotherand the BLOOD of Jesus the Messiah his (GODs) Son Cleans US from ALL SIN!!!...Thank YOU and Praise YOU!!!

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

*** Notice If we say that we have no sin, we deceive our selves and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

*** Notice John doesnt say confess our Sin of Un-BeliefHe says Confess our SINSand he (Jesus) is FAITHFUL and JUST to FORGIVE US OUR SINSThank YOU and Praise YOU!!!

Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

*** Be Ready!!!...Time is shortIf Any of You reading this have Not Come to Know and Believe in JesusPleaseI beg youcontact me or someone you know that is a Bible Believing, Church going, Evangelizing Christian to explain and teach you about HIM...Your very Soul Depends on it!!!...I dont want anyone to go to Hell and neither does GOD!!! Mat 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

2 Cor 7:15 And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.

*** With Fear and Trembling Receive HIM

Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

*** This is My Prayer for Many !!! Wisdom and Revelation in the Knowledge of HIM !!!

1 Pet 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

*** GODs continued Blessings to All X <>< O

Hi Jude:

Thank you for the Scriptures.

I have not put together repentance and works, but rather have seperated repenting of unbelief and works to trusting Messiah,

Repenting from unbelief to trusting Yeshua simply is this ,A person is not believing the Gospel, they have their mind changed ( repent) then believe the Gospel.

Remember Mark 1:14-15

Mar 1:14 And after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Mar 1:15 and saying, The time has been fulfilled, and the kingdom of God draws near. Repent and believe in the gospel.

Messiah proclaims,REPENT ( change your mind ) Believe the Gospel.

Messiah is saying you have not been Believing the Gospel, change your mind about the Gospel,Believe the Gospel.

What is the Gospel ( repent of your sins,NO) then trust Yeshua to save you,Absolutely not.

It is the GRACE of GOD Almighty by which a person is saved, through trusting Messiah to save them from the Wrath of GOD.

Eph 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

Eph 2:5 even we being dead in deviations, He made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are being saved),

Notice verse 5, By GRACE you are saved,no mention of needing to repent of sin in order to be saved.

Eph 2:8 For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;

Eph 2:9 not of works, that not anyone should boast;

Now let us write these two verse another way, which will say the same thing.

For by the GRACE of GOD you are saved, through Faithing into Yeshua ( not by repenting of any sin),Salvation is a GIFT of GOD; not of works( repenting of any sin),so that NOT one person can boast.

The 'church' teaches that in order for a person to be saved they need to know certain things.

1. A person needs to know that they are a sinner.

2. A person needs to know that they need a savour

3. A person NEEDS to repent ( change their mind )of their sins.

4. THEY NEED TO accept Yesuha.

May i ask,why none of the above three steps are mentioned within the Word of GOD

Eph 2:8 For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;

Eph 2:9 not of works, that not anyone should boast;

Eph 2:10 for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them.

After a person has been given faith in Yeshua by GOD Almighty, the the Holy Spirit

When a person has been convicted of the Holy Spirit with the Word of GOD

then a person needs to repent of the sin the Holy Spirit reveals to the person.

That person then needs power, the power of GOD Almighty to confess the sin,and to repent (change ones mind about sin ) of the sin.

This is called being SANCTIFIED,and we know that Sanctification NEVER precedes the Gospel ,nor precede FAITHING into Yeshua.

Shared ~ May I ask, why none of the above three steps are mentioned within the Word of GOD

*** Yes you may askand FYI they are not steps one takes  It is a Clear Path WAY Leading to Jesus found in Luke 24:44-49 Written in BLOOD RED that Jesus taught to His Apostelsits His WORD and Dirrectionnot mineI will suggest Re-Read the Scripture posted and the commentsI will not argue with you George

2 Tim 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. (KJV)

Hi Jude:

No arguing, just showing where the so called 'church' is wrong in telling people that they need to repent of their sins in order to being saved.

The 'pastors' in the 'church' tell people that they need to repent of their sins in order to be saved, this is Sanctification, not Salvation.

There is NO Salvation within Sanctification, and many people are believing they are saved through the process of being Sanctiified.

The Scripture you shared in Luke 24:44-49.

Luk 24:45 Then He opened up their mind to understand the Scriptures,

Luk 24:46 and said to them, So it is written, and so the Christ must suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day. No OT passage

Luk 24:47 And repentance and remission of sins must be preached on His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Luk 24:48 And you are witnesses of these things.

In these Scripture you and many others are reading into this Scripture the words 'REPENT of YOUR SINS'.

We need to look into there Scriptures to se where Messiah had spoken about Salvation as a FREE Gift, needing no repentance of sin,but ONLY FAITH in Yeshua to being saved.

The first prophesy about the ONE person by whom Salvation would be accomplished.

Gen 3:14 And Jehovah God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all beasts, and above every animal of the field. You shall go on your belly, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

Now Salvation accomplished at the hand of GOD,not the repentance of man.

Exo 15:1 Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to Jehovah, and spoke, saying, I will sing to Jehovah, for He is highly exalted. He has thrown the horse and his rider into the sea.

Exo 15:2 My strength and song is Jehovah, and it happened, He was to me salvation; this is my God and I will glorify Him; the God of my father, and I will exalt Him.

Exo 15:3 Jehovah is a Man of war; Jehovah is His name.

2Sa 22:47 Jehovah lives! And blessed is the Rock, and exalted be the God, the Rock of my salvation.

2Sa 22:48 He is God who is giving vengeance for me, and brings down peoples under me,

2Sa 22:49 and brings me forth from my enemies; yea, You raise me up above those rising up against me; You deliver me from the violent man.

2Sa 22:50 On account of this I will confess You, Jehovah, among nations; and I will sing praise to Your name.

2Sa 22:51 A tower of salvation is He to His king; even doing mercy to His anointed, to David and to his seed, until forever!

Psa 3:8 Salvation belongs to Jehovah. Your blessing is on Your people. Selah.

Psa_18:46 Jehovah lives! And blessed be my Rock! And let the God of my salvation be exalted!

Exo 15:4 He has cast Pharaoh's chariots and his army in the sea; and the choice ones of his officers are drowned in the Sea of Reeds,

Exo 15:5 the depths cover them; they have dropped into the depths like a stone.

Deu 32:15 But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked; you grew fat, thick and sated. And he abandoned God who made him, and fell away from the Rock of his salvation.

Deu 32:16 With strange gods they moved Him to jealousy; and with idols they provoked Him to anger.

Deu 32:17 They sacrificed to demons who were not God, to gods whom they did not know, new ones who came lately. Your fathers had not dreaded them.

Deu 32:18 You forgot the Rock that brought you into being and ceased to care for God who formed you.

Jude,IF GOD Almighty needs anyone to erpent of any sin in order to save them from His wrath, then He cannot be GOD Almighty for He cannot save without the help of man by their repenting of their sin.

Also the death of Messiah would be powerless to forgive the sins of people, because Yeshua needs me to repent of sin before He Saves me.

Nope no argument, the Holy Spirit needs to reveal this to you,and to others.

Blessings

*** GeorgeYour statement shows confusion.

GOD doesnt NEED Anyone to Repent.

HE COMMANDS it!!!

Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

*** The confusion stems from the Easy Believism stance which is a Antinomian theology. It teaches that all you have to do to be saved is believe, you do not need to repent of your sins, and so long as you believe you are saved even though you continue in sin. No amount of sin can send you to hell, or forfeit your salvation, so long as you trust that Christ died for you.

*** Its a very dangerous theology and stance and leads a Lost/Non-Saved person to Believe they have Un-Belief in something they know Nothing about while being told to Repent of their Un-Belief in what they know nothing aboutThis is called Circular Reasoning and it puts the proverbial Cart before the Horse and causes confusion.

*** A Lost/Non-Saved person cant Repent of ANYTHING Before they Learn the WhatWhyWhenWhereWho of itThat would be like beginning the Preaching/Evangelizing all about Jesus on the Cross Crucified and then Explaining He was Crucified because you didnt Believe in Him and you are going to Hell because of your Un-Belief and you are not a Sinner you just have a Sinful NatureI meanREALLY ???...

This is what Jesus says

But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Matt. 9:13

*** Notice - the Scripture says that Jesus the Christ came to Call Sinners to Repentance. It Doesnt say Un-Believers, but Sinners!!!...And I am so Very Grateful and Thankful for My LORD and Saviour Yahshua Messiah aka Jesus the Christ for He Came and Called Me!!!...Jesus is LORD!!!...All Praise and Glory to the Most HIGH GOD!!!...

*** With that being saidI will leave off this Thread and will not returnGods Continued Grace and Mercy to allyou included George... X <>< O

Bye Jude,it was a pleasure.

I only hope that the Holy Spirit would reveal to you, and many others that you do not need to repent of any sin before trusting Messiah to save you from the wrath of GOD.

Galatians 3:23-25: "Before faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, *WE* ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LAW!!"

*WE* ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LAW!!

Galatians 2:14-16,20,21; 3:2,5,10-13;23-25: Paul said, When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs? We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' know that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.!"

Galatians 2:20,21: The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

Galatians 3:10-13: "All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them." Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us!

Hebrews 7:18,19: The former regulation is SET ASIDE because it was weak and useless; for the law made nothing perfect, and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.!

Hebrews 8:8,9,13: "The time is coming." says the Lord, "when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah".... By calling this Covenant "NEW", He has made the first one OBSOLETE; and what is OBSOLETE and aging will soon disappear."

Hebrews 8:6: But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which He is Mediator is SUPERIOR TO THE OLD ONE, and it is founded on better promises.

Colossians 2:16,17: Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you **EAT** or drink, or with regard to a religous festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a *SHADOW* of the things that were to come, the reality, however, is found in Christ!!!

All of the OT sabbath laws have been eliminated. Both Jesus and His Father have declared all foods are now clean. All of the OT sacrifical and temple laws have been eliminated. All of the stoning to death laws for breaking the law have been eliminated. All of the laws concerning an eye for an eye and making oaths have been eliminated. Circumcision laws have been eliminated. Loving one another as Jesus loved us has replaced loving one another as you love yourself.

Their about 400 NT laws to be obeyed with *LOVE* in the hope of countless eternal rewards for faithful and loving service has replaced the 613 OT laws.

Romans 3:21-25: But now a righteousness from God, apart from the law, has been made known...This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe... and are justified freely be His grace through the redemption that came by Jesus Christ. God presented Him as a sacrifice of atonement through faith in His blood!!

Isaiah 53:5,6: But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way, and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all!!!!

In the OT God ordered Israel to kill their enemies many times and God helped them do it. However in the NT Jesus commands, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also." Luke 6:27-29

Leviticus 26:7,8: God said to Israel, "You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the SWORD before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the SWORD before you!" Numbers 25:16,17" The Lord said to Moses, "Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them!" etc etc

HOWEVER IN THE NEW COVENANT, JESUS SAYS, "ALL WHO DRAW THE SWORD WILL DIE BY THE SWORD!"

Jesus said to His 11 Apostles, "If you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. For it is written: "And He was numbered with the transgressors"{Isaiah 53:12} and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in Me. Yes, what is written about Me is reaching its fulfillment." The disciples said, "See Lord, here are 2 {Not 11}swords." "That is enough." Jesus replied.

Matthew 26:30-34: They seized Jesus and arrested Him. With that, one of Jesus' companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear. "Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "For *ALL* who draw the sword will die by the sword...But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?"

And so the only reason that Jesus allowed the disciples to have 2 swords was so that the Scripture in Isaiah 53:12 would be fulfilled: "He was numbered among the transgressors."

Jesus said to Pilate, "My Kingdom is not of this world. If it were, My servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But **NOW** My Kingdom is from another place!"

Former OT commands in Exodus 21:23-25 "If there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise."

This was changed by these NT commands by Jesus:

Matthew 5:38,39: Jesus commands, "You have heard that it was said {In Exodus 21:23-25 above}, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek turn to him the other also!"

Luke 6:27-29: Jesus commands, "LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you. do not demand it back!"

Romans 12:18-21: If it is possible, as far as it DEPENDS ON YOU, LIVE AT PEACE WITH EVERYONE! Do not take revenge my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written, "It is mine to revenge, I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head" Do not be overcome by evil but OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD!!

2 Corinthians 10:3,4: "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are *NOT* the weapons of the world."

The only weapons that NT saints may use who follow the New Covenant commands of Jesus is the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. A NT saint would not even think of joining the army of any nation and becoming a professional killer or defending himself with a gun. Unfortunately very few Groups such as the Amish and Mennonites still obey these sacred commands of Jesus.

I John 2:3-5: "We know that we have come to know Him if we obey His {Jesus'} commands. The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what He {Jesus} commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys His Word, God's love is truly made complete in him."

The inspired words of the NT were inspired by God between AD 50 and AD 96 and the 4 Gospels were written about AD 65 And so all of the approximately 400 NT commands were not completed and in force until Around AD 96.

When you join the military and become a professional killer you must make a **VOW** that you will obey all the commands of your commanding officer. And so if He commands you to drop an Atomic Bomb that will kill about 100,000 civilians including about 25,000 innocent children you must obey this command!!!

What is th OT command concerning *VOWS* and *OATHS*?? Numbers 30:2: Moses said, "This is what the Lord commands: When a man makes a *VOW* to the Lord or takes an *OATH* to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said!"

What are the NT commands concerning making *VOWS* and **OATHS*??

James 5:12: "ABOVE ALL, my brothers, do not swear--not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your "Yes" be yes, and your "No," no, or you will be condemned.!!"

Matthew 5:33-37: Jesus says, "You have heard that it was said to your people long ago {Numbers 30:2 above}, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' BUT I tell you, Do not swear at all....Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No, 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one!!"

Anyone who claims that Jesus did not change OT laws is completely blind. All of the OT sabbath laws have been eliminated. All of the OT sacrifical and temple laws have been eliminated by the eternal sacrifice for sins by Jesus. All of the stoning to death laws for breaking the law have been eliminated. All of the laws concerning killing your enemies, and eye for an eye and making oaths have been eliminated. All Circumcision laws have been eliminated. And Jesus decared that all foods are now *CLEAN*!!

Mark 7:18,19: Jesus says, "Are you so dull?" He asked. "Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him 'unclean'? For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." In saying this. Jesus declared ALL FOODS "CLEAN!"
