If you think John 3:16 communicates God�s love for the world, you are exactly right. But if you think the verse intends to communicate how much God loves the world, you have missed the meaning of the original Greek text. Although many translations say, �For God so love the world,� the intended meaning of the original language of John 3:16 really focuses on HOW God loves the world. That�s why when you read John 3:16 in the HCSB, it states, �For God love the world in this way...� Accuracy, another reason you will love the HCSB.

Arch, I'm not confused, I think you're thie one who is confused, becasue you're trying to figure out why I find some of Calvin's writings of interest. Which dodes not mean I am in agreement with what he says in all of his writings, but I do find some things of interest.
As I stated Calvin was confused himself in his relationship with God, and he worte his own personal thoughts, not so that people would take them and make doctrines and etachings out of them or form a group or church called Calvinism or calvinists. This was not his intent or purpose for his writings.
Just as you quote Charles Spurgeon and you know he loved Calvin, but Spurgeon has written some nice pieces that make a lot of sense, but a lot of his work to me, doesn't make sense, but I still enjoy reading what he wrote.
Other men took Calvins woks and wrote TUIP concept, this was nto Calvins doings he was dead and gone when this happened. He had not one thing to do with this... other men took his work, and a lot of his writings have been misinterpreted, just as God's word is being misinterpreted by MEN who think they know what God is speaking... there is not one doctrien that Paul or the other apostles wrote about in the bible except the doctrine of Jesus Christ... So where are all these false doctrines and theological concepts coming from if not from man's OWN thoughts.. sure can't find them in God's words... God's word is plain, simple, and clear direct up close and personal to the point... its man who has made a mockery out of God's word of truth and turned it into a deceiving LIE!...
Oh yeah, Arch, it is a known that the Catholic church hated Calvin, but yet, the Catholic church believe and practice in some of the same doctrines Calvin taught, and it is not even in God's word, such as baptizing of innocent baby's for sins, they have not committed, and baptism regeneration.
Did not Calvin teach these false doctrines, and does not the Catholic church practice such false doctrines and teachings which are NOT biblically based or sound?
