Posted : 31 Oct, 2011 10:41 AM our young men sWe that have received the Gift of the Holy Ghost know this is very distinct from receiving the lord Jesus and being born again, for the scripture is very clear of the promise of the father: The gift of the Holy Ghost for the church. Just to recap: Every Gospel proclaims that Jesus say's it is better that he go away, that he might send the comforter, the spirit of Truth unto us, this is another example of the fullness of the godhead in the lives of believers it was not an option to receive, to not receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was first given in the book of Acts and we will see the Gift is for all and distinctive and separate from the NEW Birth. Notice what Peter said about this gift, this promise is for all flesh: Acts 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and yhall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: Acts 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Here again is the same promise and it is called the gift of the Holy Ghost. Which is defined in the bible and we will point out later. Here is a good example of the distinction of receiving the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Acts 8:13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. Acts 8:14 � Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: Acts 8:15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: Acts 8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Acts 8:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. Verse `12 and thirteen we see these people where saved. Verses 14 and 15 when the apostle's heard they had received the word of God they immediately left to pray for them that they might receive the Holy Ghost. Verse seventeen they laid hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit, you do not lay hands on people to be saved!! Verse 18 Simon saw something as you do in all scriptures concerning receiving the Holy Spirit, you can not tell people receive Jesus by seeing. Ch 10 of Acts confirms and agrees with the second ch of Acts Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Acts 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? Notice what Peter says in referring to this occurrence and the second ch of Acts: Acts 11:13 And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; Acts 11:14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved. Acts 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Acts 11:17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? There are a total of five witness that speak of the believers receiving the Holy Spirit after receiving Jesus. Post Reply

Posted : 2 Nov, 2011 09:45 PM OK I want to adress whoever said Pentecostals are wrong and we do not have to power to heal, are you saying you dont believe in devine healing? thats laughable as I myself was stricken with Hepetits C many years ago and I myself was heald in a pentecostal church by the laying on of hands, so my dear brother if you are counting on the pentcostals being wrong on judgment day and you being right you had better really do some praying and ask God to help you and try not tolean unto your own understyanding because we are most definatly right, there is divne healing until I was healed my dr said he had never sen a liver bad as mine in anyone under the age of 80 when he took out my gall blader his name was dr larry wong panama city florida at gulf coast community hospital nI was psitive for hepitis c in 2003 some of the women at my church helped me to seek out treatment for it as I had no insurance we found a dr.. Dr evans also panama city florida these same people had been laying hands on me anoiting me with oil and praying for me, on a sunday night I personaly got a message in tounges I know it was for me because the woman who gave it hd a hold of me she then interpreted it (I did not know this woman it was a big church) she had no idea what was going on but the message said to hold on and he would bring it to pass, I knew right then I woul;d be healed I knew what God was speaking to me about so the next tuesday i went to my apointment with Dr Evans who had agreed to treat me for free and as I sat on his table terrified of what he was going to say as the devil was telling me I was going to die dr evens said he woulkd be glad to treat me if there was anything to treat me for I had a viral load test that came up negative after 3 positive tests, I have a liver profile done once or twice a year as routine check ups and my liver is fine, so please explain that? if we pentecostals are wrong, if you dont believe me send me a private message I will be glad to talk with you more about it and direct you to people who will confirm what i have told yall, olease be careful satan is a liar and he has been doing it for a long time it seems like he has tricked yall (the reformists) and I hope you will open your eyes to his lies you see the devil likes to use our pride to take us down the wrong roads he has convinced yall that you have some sort of higher understanding to stroke your ego and its a lie you really dont, furthermore I am going to repeat what I said earlier the Bible says God is the same same esterday today and forever so why? why would he give us the gifts then take them away? he never needed the gifts we need them to fight the enemy to lead and guide us and to helpus pray and help us understand Gods word.. please I have such a huge burden for you all the devil has tricked you please pray for true understanding and when you pray rebuke the devil he is tempting you with your pride and ego and high mindedness Post Reply

You are talking about healing by the laying on of hands. I prayed about a Muslim man laying on him my hands and God healed him. There are many manifestations of the Holy Spirit who dwells in believers in the God Jesus. That's why He gives us many gifts. So many gifts that I even cannt count then here right now. The tongues is just one of the them!!!!! Re-red the Scripture to see it. We all agree that it is possible that people speak today in the tongues. But we have not met such people yet. What we see in our Churches is just crazy barking. And this barking cannt be the language of the Holy Spirit. Check another thread I posted for you a link where you can see such barking. So, what I say: those who bark will be judged by God. because they allowed themselves to be deceived by other 'christians' and they deceive other people. god does not bark because the Holy Spirit is not dog!!!! Posted : 3 Nov, 2011 11:26 AM bahira, why do you repeat yourself over and over? also did you read specificaly what I said in the first sentence of my post "I am adressing the person who said pentecostals are wrong" was that you? no it wasnt. also I read every single post, did you? this person said "you cant heal by laying on hands" I was adressing that person, I am sure like I said earlier that peole wouldnt believe the supernatural misacels of God as the Children made the golden calf after Gpd split the red sea, if your blind to spiritual things then your just blind to them and I am so sorry for that I will be praying for your eyes to be opend Post Reply
