Posted : 8 Jun, 2012 08:37 PM CONCLUSION: Calvinism clearly errs from the teaching of the Word of God on all 5 points of it's TULIP. The logical conclusion of Calvinism is that God is an unfair respecter of persons who chooses people to salvation, not according to any standard that He established, but arbitrarily. This strikes at the love and justice of God, contradicts the fact that Christ gave his life for ALL, and rejects man's responsibility to choose and love his Creator. Proverbs 24:23: "... It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment." Acts 10:34-35: "... Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth Him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with Him." John 6:28-29: "... What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? ... This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent. Ephesians 2:8: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." Post Reply

One should realize the obvious promotion of another doctrine. The church is taught to not have anything to do with another doctrine, not as taught in scripture. You do not need to read all of any of the recommended material, only only needs to saved and full of The Holy Spirit, and a student of the word of God, and error readily stands out to the believer. Whatever is not of faith is always SIN. Post Reply

Even if we could make that leap, that you could somehow miraculously do so, do you think that a single page of bullet points in refutation shows sufficient respect for anyone trying to understand both sides of the argument (yours and mine)? Such a notion, in my eyes, seems intellectually incompetent and just plain lazy. Ask Holding..he didnt read Against Calvinism by Roger E Olson but yet he gives his opinion on it!! Such that you can read the original texts of scripture for your study? I will pick one question from the many you posted. I do look to the Hebrew and Greek Interlinear not as much as I would like to as I'm a busy person. Do you know Biblical Hebrew or Greek? Post Reply

However, I am not the one here who is attempting to refute one of the greatest scholars in church history - A man who was proficient in both languages and studied the Bible from the original texts. Also, a man whose books you have never even read despite the fact that you represent yourself as an expert on him and his writings. Regardless of what history says about the man and his Greek and Hebrew abilities, he boldly and continually continually denied the truth, Faith. The Holy Spirit will never point any man to men that exalt them self above the knowledge of God. Post Reply

I have read many reviews from fathful bible teachers about the book, where Olson is quoted extensively from his book. Let's remember that Olson's book is a criticism of Calvinism...I have suggested based on reading many quotes from His book that he doesn't understand Calvnism, nor does the think very highly of Exegesis. Posted : 10 Jun, 2012 09:34 AM The simplicity of the word of God has been presented and their is no error in it any more than there is any shadow to it, it is perfect in it's illumination today as it was thousand's of years ago. It is a choice you can follow the word of God. You can follow the word of man and these word's will not have any benefit to the one that follows them.You can not get life out of death ONLY BELIEVE.
