A beloved brother in Christ most recently left this site, I believe, due to frustration and sadness. LocustsHoney. I don't even know you, but I've read what you say and I believe you love the Lord, or at least seek the truth. I'm admittedly saddened and angered by the actions that led this person to leave the site. I'm angry and frustrated. I would have to ask you, why, PhilipJohn? Why do you feel the need to so relentlessly beat down anyone trying to find answers, or seeking to make those answers known? No malice, just frustration and sadness. Post Reply

He was trying the confuse the issue, aka obfuscation. Go ahead pj, run over to Osteen's site and pick up some more talking points. You have yet to answer the question and then ramble on, accusing me of trying to bring confusion. These kind of post do just what they intended to do bring strife and contention. Those that profess Christ should show love toward one another. He did not offer anything to refute Locusts statements. He posted the same thing over and over. He drove him off this site. Why would call my response arguing, very interesting? Why do you act as though carnality and giving place to the flesh is scriptural conduct for a Christian. I haven't been the greatest poster in the past here and I apologize for that. However, I have done what I have done in an attempt to defend truth. I've taken that too far sometimes with my attitude toward others. I've not always been Christlike. I urge you PJ to change, like I am trying to change. Don't be the author of confusion. Study the scriptures. Joel Osteen is simply not a man who preaches the word. As in the past you continually defend those who preach the prosperity gospel. You have never once given a scriptural basis for that defense and yet you condemn others. I pray that God opens your heart and leads you into truth. The gospel is not about money and it's not about making everyone who doesn't see eye to eye with you into some type of evil person. We should point out the evil in false teachers. Very often you say that it is not of God to criticize others. Yet, in the same breath, you criticize most everyone here. It's worth mentioning again that Paul and Jesus corrected error over and over again. Their whole lives were spent correcting error. Why? because it's dangerous. It kills. I fear that you would push Paul and Jesus away from this board to. Post Reply
