Whom Did He Foreknow??

Ro 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

It is those who he fornew that he did predestinate.

You might also ask who did he not foreknow.

"so He foreknows all...the everyone all...not the selective all."

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Let's go ahead and apply your answer to the OP scripture.

For whom he did foreknow, (the everyone all...not the selective all) he also did predestinate (the everyone all...not the selective all) to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren (the everyone all...not the selective all)

Do you see the problem now?

IWA: "For whom he did foreknow, (the everyone all...not the selective all) he also did predestinate (the everyone all...not the selective all) to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren (the everyone all...not the selective all)"

The term 'brethren' does not refer to all...it is specific to Christians of whom Christ is the firstborn. God's desire is that all (everyone all) become Christians, and all (everyone all) are provided an opportunity, not all will follow God's will or desire. If God was going to pick and choose He would not have had to worry about sending His only begotten Son to die for the sins of world.

He knew Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden; however, when they disobeyed Him and ate of the forbidden fruit, He asked where they were...

God created Satan...an archangel in Heaven who wanted to be equal to God, was kicked out of heaven, but God still "knows" and communicates with as evident in the book of Job...and in the New Testament when Jesus talked with him...

Teach-- Please read it again.

Ro 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

For whom he did foreknow, (the everyone all...not the selective all) he also did predestinate (the everyone all...not the selective all) to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren (the everyone all...not the selective all)

You claim he foreknew ALL (everyone- not selectively)

Therefore, according to this verse He predestined ALL (everyone- not selectively) to be conformed to the image of his son.

So that, he might be the firstborn among many brethren ( now you shift and say NOT ALL (.it is specific to Christians)

The word for predestine in the Greek is proorizo

1. to limit in advance

2. predetermine

Now, there are several obvious problems.

1. The Bible expressly says that there are some that he NEVER knew in a salvific sense.

2. You claim that He also predestines ALL (everyone- not selectively) to be conformed to the image of His son. Yet, as the Bible expressly tells us NOT all are conformed to the image of Christ. So, you would have us believe that God predetermines to do something but cannot or does not do it.

3. You suddenly shift gears in the verse and go from ALL (everyone- not selectively) to NOT all - it is specific to Christians which does damage to the flow of the thought in the verse by bifurcating the reason for the predestining "that he might be the firstborn among many brethren" notice - MANY -- not ALL

Do you see the problem now?

Now, if God desires anything, what stops him for fulfilling those desires? Man's "free will"? Satan?

Psalm 115:3 Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.

Job 23:13 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.

i Walk Alone

The bible does not say anything like you say in your last statement that thinking is in line with your theology, not scripture.

Satan is not a creator.

There is one creator.

Man is a Spirit being, where does that spirit come from.

You keep say God is a liar, that he changes, and that he is extremely confused and full of darkness.

I know he is not.
