To preach the acceptable YEAR of the Lord... Luke 4:19..
Posted : 2 Jan, 2012 12:52 PM
Luk 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19 to proclaim the YEAR of the Lord's favor." 20 And he rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. 21 And he began to say to them, "Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."
The Passage that Jesus read was from the book of Isaiah from chapter 61 verses 1 and two. " The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the YEAR of the LORD's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;.."
Question: If Jesus was the Lamb of God who would take away the sins of the world, He would have to fulfill all the Scriptures about being the lamb, correct?
With that being said: If we are to take Luke's chronological account (Luke 1:3) of Jesus' ministry on earth; where do we get the idea of Him being anointed and baptized to His crucifixion being a total of THREE YEARS when The Scriptures only say that the ACCEPTABLE time was ONE YEAR?
Does that make sense? Seriously. If the Scriptures say that the Lamb who was to be slain was also to be of ONE YEAR (Exodus 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a YEAR old...), then where did, or do we get the idea of Jesus' earthly ministry was THREE YEARS from?
Did Jesus, the lamb of God, sacrifice a lamb at the temple those 2 of the 3 years since he followed the Law on the passover, or was it only one year since he did this?
How can we reconcile the fact that the synoptic gospels show it to be one year ministry and we come up with three years in Christendom?
Wouldn't it even further explain the fact that Jesus' one year ministry would be one major reason WHY Philo, the Jewish historian at the time of jesus' existing, didn't hear of him and write of him in his time in during the feasts that he attended there?
Can we find proof for this, or is it also a man made assumption that was accepted through out time? Can we find proof of this anywhere?

Agapheton, go READ the book of John and then come back, also read Daniles 9-12... not with YOUR OWN undersatnding but ask the Holy Spirit to OPEN YOUR EYEYS THAT YOU MIGHT SEE... He promises to do so to all hwo ask of Him...
ME: That is not an answer, sister. That is simple evasion of the facts. If Scholars say and AGREE that John's gospel is not a chronological order and don't include it in the synoptic gospels, THEN WHY DO THEY GET THE THREE YEAR MINISTRY THEORY FROM IT WHEN IT COMPLETELY GOES AGAINST THE OTHER THREE ORDERLY ACCOUNTS OF THE GOSPELS?

ME: Sister, THERE ARE MORE Passovers in one year? One is done on twilight on the fourteenth day of Nissan.
Exo 12:1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt,
Exo 12:2 "This month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you.
Exo 12:3 Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb according to their fathers' houses, a lamb for a household.
Exo 12:4 And if the household is too small for a lamb, then he and his nearest neighbor shall take according to the number of persons; according to what each can eat you shall make your count for the lamb.
Exo 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats,
Exo 12:6 and you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill their lambs at twilight.
Exo 12:7 "Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it.
Exo 12:8 They shall eat the flesh that night, roasted on the fire; with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Exo 12:9 Do not eat any of it raw or boiled in water, but roasted, its head with its legs and its inner parts.
Exo 12:10 And you shall let none of it remain until the morning; anything that remains until the morning you shall burn.
Exo 12:11 In this manner you shall eat it: with your belt fastened, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the LORD's Passover.
Exo 12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and I will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and on all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the LORD.
Exo 12:13 The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.
Exo 12:14 "This day shall be for you a memorial day, and you shall keep it as a feast to the LORD; throughout your generations, as a statute forever, you shall keep it as a feast.
Exo 12:15 Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall remove leaven out of your houses, for if anyone eats what is leavened, from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel.
Exo 12:16 On the first day you shall hold a holy assembly, and on the seventh day a holy assembly. No work shall be done on those days. But what everyone needs to eat, that alone may be prepared by you.
Exo 12:17 And you shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for on this very day I brought your hosts out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day, throughout your generations, as a statute forever.
Exo 12:18 In the first month, from the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month at evening.
Exo 12:19 For seven days no leaven is to be found in your houses. If anyone eats what is leavened, that person will be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a sojourner or a native of the land.
Exo 12:20 You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your dwelling places you shall eat unleavened bread."
Exo 12:21 Then Moses called all the elders of Israel and said to them, "Go and select lambs for yourselves according to your clans, and kill the Passover lamb.
Exo 12:22 Take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and touch the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. None of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.
Exo 12:23 For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you.
Exo 12:24 You shall observe this rite as a statute for you and for your sons forever.
Exo 12:25 And when you come to the land that the LORD will give you, as he has promised, you shall keep this service.
Exo 12:26 And when your children say to you, 'What do you mean by this service?'
Exo 12:27 you shall say, 'It is the sacrifice of the LORD's Passover, for he passed over the houses of the people of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians but spared our houses.'" And the people bowed their heads and worshiped.
Lev 23:4 "These are the appointed feasts of the LORD, the holy convocations, which you shall proclaim at the time appointed for them.
Lev 23:5 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight, is the LORD's Passover.
Lev 23:6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.
Lev 23:7 On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not do any ordinary work.
Lev 23:8 But you shall present a food offering to the LORD for seven days. On the seventh day is a holy convocation; you shall not do any ordinary work.
So WHEN WAS JESUS THE OFFICIAL LAMB OF GOD TO BE SACRIFICED DURING HIS 2-4 YEAR MINISTRY, sister?

Right, Angel:applause: And if Agapeton doesn't watch himself with his foolish questions, God is going to allow him to keep digging deeper and deeper into the storehouse of the devil with his unbelief... because he is not sound or rooted and gorunded in the word of God as He THINKS he is, and is not even close to speaking sound doctrine or asking sound questions as an unbelivers... but is tryign to prove his own thougths and opinions, that sound more like an unbeliever questioning God's own Words desiring that what his limited knowledge and understanding that he speaks is spiritual and biblically correct over what God has already said.
He sounds like an atheist more than a believing Christian... better yet, a JW:laugh::excited:

ME: I see you are assuming that i challenge your belief because you cannot find it in the Scriptures to prove your assumption that you accept from man and call me a non-believer and unspirit filled because of it.
Nice. I wonder how close you fare to the same pharisee that Jesus questioned, rebuked, and directed His Scriptural ponderings with while they considered not Him not being from God.....
SAD.

ME: Yup, i see who the PHORUM PHARISEE ARE ON THIS SITE NOW. Don't answer questions according to Scripture and insult, assume, evade, and blaspheme people who do.
Sad, sad, sad, state of being is where we are when people of faith act this way.
But then again, God DID say something about people's hearts growing cold towards the brethren....

Agapheton, Darling please know that you have not challegened anyone beliefs here, you have only PORVEN YOUR OWN SPIRITUAL IGNORNACE AND UNBELIEF, doubt, and a lack of spiritual godly wisdom>
You arenot even able to spiritually articulate what it is you THINK you know... your spirit is not of God nor in leadrship under that of the Holy Spirit, but of the devil who has you WIRED UP FOR HIS SERVICE, and fooled to make you think you know something others don't know, and about God's word...
How foolish can the devil make you think so highly in pride of yourself when you cannot even connect the dots of the scriptures to even bring forth and express your stance, because you are only posting what you are gathering and rewording informaytion from articles written by unbelievers...:nahnah:
You don't have enough God power nor spriitual Word enlightment to challegene PJ, Angel, or me or anyone who is sincerely in Chirst... you deceive yourself when you THINK you have more than others especially when what you speak goes nowhere, and is void, null, and empty!

Hey Agapeton:
I find the Scriptures and questions you have are brilliant.
One of the most important things Yeshua had done was to make the people to be thinking of what they were believing.
As the Pharisees were angry with Yeshua,so to will some be here as they are challenged with what they think.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is the good and pleasing and perfect will of God.
Rom 12:3 For through the grace which is given to me, I say to everyone being among you, not to have high thoughts beyond what is right to think. But set your mind to be right-minded, even as God divided a measure of faith to each.
Be Being Transformed as the Scriptures say, means that my mind and understanding of Yeshua and this life is to be changed, sometimes through process.
Such as a caterpillar 'METAMORPHOO / metamorphisis into a butterfly.
Sometimes through circumstances and even through people.
Pro_27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
Growing Grace,Faith and Love takes time, and at times can hurt,Yet Yeshua will heal the wounds, and then use those wounds in the lives of others.
I have not spent much time on this subject yet I will check the Scriptures, and use the means necessary to be prepared when someone asks this of me.
I happen to be glad that there are others which will ask questions that will cause me to search the Word of YHWH,as I do not know everything.
I am not called to be knowing and Understanding everything,
