I personaly dont know that much about how the st century church worshiped but I an tell yall how my church worships and its nothing like the thread agapeton posted or maybe it was george I am startiung to get them mixed up like I used to get awm mixed up with george:ROFL:GO FIGURE anyway, when we get to church and sit down the pastor gives the acouncements like revivals coming up and so forth, then he calls up the choir wich consists of anyone in the congrigation who wants to get up and sing and lead the congrigation in hyms, then we sit down and sis toby sings a song or 2 and anyone who wants to get up and sing alone is encourgaed to sing they do not need prior permission or practice if hey want to sing they can! Then she turns it over to the pastor then he asks if anyone has anyone to say for the lord, or a testimony to share or a word of encoragment! aftwer that he usualy will go into his message, so at this time if it is sunday we sit still and listen but on wedsnday nights we are encoraged to join in and have a discussion! So after the messgae oh I forgot that we do pray before the message is given we pray right after he reads the scripture and we also stand when he reads the scripture then we pray WE PRAY!!! opk then after the message is given he may give an alter call, then (whether oir not their is an alter call) he asked if anyone needs special prayer and we then go up and get prayed for , for whatever reason or we may "stand in" for someone else that may be sick or need salvation now if someone is sick but unsaved we pray for their salvation thats what is importent! Now after that we have a book that has prayer requests in it, we then pray over that book and when prayers in that book are answered we wright it down next to the original request we wright prayer answeerd! Now after that if its wedsnady we are dismessed in prayer and then we stand arouns a little and talk lioke every other church, but if it is sunday this is when the offerning is taken up! We do not take up tithes and offering anytime except sunday and if we have som speacial service like we had a singing for a little girl with cancer we took up an offring biut every single bit was given to that girsl family, now we had a very good singoing group come my uncle glenn sings for them they are very good but they got nothng to come they volonteered their time and every penny went to that girl and her family not much about 750 dollars but thats a whole lot when your broke and struggling! we also have box in the church for food we bring can goods and it is giving out to people saved or unsaved whoever has need! Now I dont see anything wrong with the way we conduct our services, oh we also stay after church lots Nand lots of times and eat together as a family we have pizza or hot dogs or sometimes a coverd dish we do eat together a lot, we also (my church family) spend time together outside of church my pastors wife is my best friend we do things togethr but not just me but the whole church we all spend time togethr alk on the phone and pray for eachother even on tuesday and saturdays, we are not just family sunday and wedsnsday, but all week long! I am just trying to give yall an idea of how we all do it, since so much speculation has been made Post Reply
elishabroadway View Profile History	our church services at shiloh ministrries full gospel church Posted : 5 Jan, 2012 06:00 PM oh I remeber agapeton, you dont condon what you think is sin, but you say we dont have to follow the ten comandments, all I hear from you is double talk! you and geogre want the easy way to heaven , you want to claim jesus blood covrs your sin, but if you dont repent it doesnt cover it, and repentence means turning from sin, soo that would mean obeying the ten commandments which you say are abolished! If they are abolished then why follow them? all iam saying is it is nessacary to live a life that is doing our best to abstain from sin which isnt hard to do when you get saved cause you hate sin, you stil have a sin nature, I have said before you have ain nature and a spirit nature, the onme you fed the most will be the biggest, watching hollywood movies and listening tosecukar music ae all ways that you will feed your flesh, but if you absain from things of this world and cricfy your flesh your spirit man wil grow bigger and stronger than your flesh! all comman sence agapeton. anyway you and george can hold onto your sin all you want to I will be praying for you Post Reply

All i did was make a topic asking what law from the old covenant we Christians should follow considering we had a new covenant now. What double talk was it that i did? I quoted a bunch of Scripture while no one did the same in return except give a few (and I say few to be nice) rhetorical opinions in return. Is that what you call double talking? As a matter of fact, I made my first topic in this forum regarding fellow Christians "hating the enemies within the faith" that no one even bothered to comment in except for one whom the majority of (what I'm starting to notice to be forum regulars) hate on. What is sad is that we are all to be a family who displays the very thing that people are supposed to know us by and I haven't seen anyone do this yet by you or the other "Spirit Filled" brethren. What makes it worse is the fact that this happens to be a Bible Study and DISCUSSION forum and I've noticed y'all hate on the first person who disagrees with your ideology and call him a tool of Satan, unbeliever, unlearned, atheists, and other unChrist like things because of your lack of Scriptural awareness of the faith with out any sign of repentance here. What is even sadder is that I've frequented more secular forums that have more people of diverse faiths and ideal that have a better moral stature and respect for others than y'all do. AND THIS IS A CHRISTIAN SITE! :stop: Man, I know more Satanists who act more Christ like than some of you people here. I honestly never knew how true the Words of Christ were when He said when that brother will turn against brother and people's heart would grow cold towards one another until this forum . Church services vary from Church to Church. The Order of Service is never just exactly the same in every Church, I do not think so anyway. Order of Service is usually set up by the Pastor. As long a we are Worshiping Jesus and hearing the True Gospel of Jesus teachings in that Church. That is what is important. Not just hearing a MAN's Doctrine. Post Reply

If you dont like that it ogfeends me oh well! you have blindes on I was trying to tell you the way you come off to people and how sarcastic it seems when you commant! You may not have started the topic out saying that we didnt have to uphold the ten comandments but you most certainly did say they were abolished by the end of the thread or you implied it, especuial when I implied Jesus had specificly addressed that sabbath and how we were not required to keep it, he speiicificaly said so, I just read it today somewhere in the first en chapters of mathew!you sarcasticly said oh so we only have to keep some of the commandments! I am saying to you now yes jesus specifcaly addresed the sabath and pointed out sabath is made for men not men for the sabath! Its al very simple, But you and those like you must complicate! Anbd your so quick to point out what we do us "spirit filled " as yu call us in quotations as being wrong! But your are so full of yourself and what you know or think you know and so proud that you have never one time thought maybe we were right and you were wrong! Have you ever one time considered that we are right about the gifts and speaking in tounges? If you havent been down the road and examened your own thoughts fand beliefs from the stance that its possible you are wrong then back up off me, because I have done just that I have opend my mind and examined my own motivations and compared them to scripture and compared scripture to what I believe with an open mind! You and you intelect and thoughts and questions you know so much but you are blind and dont really see anything! You are incapable of keeping the one comandment that Jesus said ws the most important and thats loving becasue you are so worried about proving someone wrong and seems like you spend so much time doing this I dont see how you have time to pray! I seriously doubt you spend much time at all in prayer, the Lord Jesus set the example did he not? Should we not at least try to pray for one hour a day? at least? I tell you what why dont you start making yourself spend at lest one hour a day in seriouse prayer and communion with God on top of reading your biblke do that for a while and seek God instead of your own knowlege,! Then talk to me about something! You see you may know a whole lo more than me and thats fine but I know the Lord and I have a good undersanfding of what pleases him as I spend plenty of time with him! You say you wil pray for me and I say to you I doubt it! and if you do it may be one quick Lord help Elisha! prayer that truly seeks God you dont have aclure about! I rather preach the gospel of Christ and His love than the gospel of the baptism of a spirit with confusing words while showing lack of respect to his brethren. The pArt that you brothers and sisters missed is the fact that you preach a spirit to ask for but neglect to show the main fruit to evidence it toward people of faith and non. That fruit is LOVE. It's the mainstay of our faith and marks the loving relationship we have with Christ by the way we "relate" with others. Without love the religious noise hear is just loud and obnoxious. Post Reply
