Mt 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Mr 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Lu 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: John 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 10:44 � While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Acts 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? Those that believe The word of God concerning receiving The Holy Spirit and receive the word of God will speak with tongues. Post Reply

The trinity remains but the two of you need to read your bible, all of it not just what your tradition teaches you. No where in the bible tell you to speak in tongues for devotion. Post Reply

It does not work fit trying to tell someone walking in the light of the word, they are not in the light. So you have a choice, you are not alive unto God, or you are trying to know God carnally. You can not Know God from Calvin Doctrine. One must be born again by the word of God. Men's interpretation will not produce life. We can agree we need to study of course and when we study we do it with the person of God not a man's doctrine. Post Reply

Calvin's words are not the word of God, they are not the will of God but the will of men, about the word of God. Thus the warning take heed what you hear for you will begin to believe what you hear, if you continue in that direction and then will leave the word Of God and will be blinded to the truth. These truth's are all in the parable of the sower, for any one that will and the key is they will to hear the truth and reject all other. The lord did not then nor does he know come up with the terms as men do, there are no Pentecostals in him. The Early church where all of those that received The gift of The Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues, Jesus called them believers. Post Reply

No where in the bible tell you to speak in tongues for devotion. Donna it is not about traditions. It is a personal relationship with Jesus. The Holy Ghost and tongues are still evident in the Church. Seek and ye shall find. Ask God for Wisdom is you do not Believe. Doctrines of MEN...does not teach you Wisdom God does.
