U = UNCONDITIONAL ELECTION (Calvinism teaches that God selects those who are to be saved without any condition, but the Bible teaches that there is one condition to salvation: faith.):

1 Peter 1:2: "Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ..."

2 Thessalonians 2:13: "...God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the Truth."

Luke 7:50: "... Thy faith hath saved thee ..."

Ephesians 2:8: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."

Election Does Not Determine Individual Salvation

Although Israel was the elect of God as shown above, individuals within Israel rejected God; and therefore, the entire nation was considered by God to have rejected Him because of the rejection by the majority. Election, as shown in these verses, is not a guarantee of salvation, and election can be resisted. These verses are in contradictory to the erroneous Calvinistic doctrine of Irresistible Grace.

Numbers 14:11 Then the Lord said to Moses: "How long will these people reject Me? And how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have performed among them?"

Numbers 16:30 "But if the Lord creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men have rejected the Lord."

1 Samuel 8:7 And the Lord said to Samuel, "Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them."

1 Samuel 10:19 "But you have today rejected your God, who Himself saved you from all your adversities and your tribulations; and you have said to Him, `No, set a king over us!' "

6 But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For NOT ALL WHO ARE DESCENDED FROM ISRAEL BELONG TO ISRAEL, 7 and not all are CHILDREN of Abraham because they are his offspring, but Through Isaac shall your offspring be named. 8 This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the CHILDREN OF THE PROMISE are counted as offspring.

This is speaking of individuals

Election is so clear in scripture that one must resort to saying that individuals aren't elected to be able to refute it. However that is clearly not the case...All throughout the NT we see people being elected...John 15:16 and Acts 13:48 are just a couple of examples.

KWH,

I would just like to ask you, are you going to plagiarize everything that you are posting here? Do you have any of your own thoughts on the matter?

This is a legitimate question.

I will ask you, will you continue badgering a woman, with the very unkind, scriptural response?
