Free-will doctrinewhat does it do? It magnifies man into God; it declares God's purposes a nullity, since they cannot be carried out unless men are willing. It makes God's will a waiting servant to the will of man, and the whole covenant of grace dependent upon human action. Denying election on the ground of injustice, it holds God to be a debtor to sinners, so that if he gives grace to one he is bound to do so to all. It teaches that the blood of Christ was shed equally for all men and since some are lost, this doctrine ascribes the difference to man's own will, thus making the atonement itself a powerless thing until the will of man gives it efficacy...http://www.spurgeon.org/sermons/0502.htm

"why bother spending my time doing God's work if the fate of others is already determined? The question points out the fallacy of the belief that I don't have to do anything to receive the gift of eternal life"

Are you familiar with the Great Commission? Why preach the gospel? Because we are commanded to. God has determined that this is the means by which His people hear and receive the gospel. You've pointed out no fallacy here.

This statement has no merit from Calvinism, they have no gospel but talk as if they are the gospel.

Don't forget the generator to justify the unbelief.

I can tell you always want to be involved in these discussions so badly. It's just always above your head.

As Christ contended with the pharisees, so do those who seek to do his will and not their own.

God's word is very clear. I was dead in my trespasses and sin till my God called me to follow him. I pray that i would proclaim his truth till he comes.

Consistent with Reigns in the past , He is still unable to give scripture to show why the doctrines of grace are wrong. Please don't go now and give us the same verses we have refuted over and over again. Cliches will not work here.

No, u cant understand straightforward verses because you're warped Calvinistic lens u view scripture through distorts everything u read. That is yr problem, not mine. When u stop filtering scripture through Calvinism, it all becomes quite clear.

I can understand straightforward verses. What we have here is a lack of you giving them, not a lack of me understanding.

Just for clarification, My idea of straightforward doesn't involve throwing out context so as to make everything seem as simple to read as possible. The bible involves actual study.

No you cant-you turn words like "world" and "all" into "elect" because of yr distorted lens u view scripture through.
