How do you feel when natural devestation occurs? Volcanic eruptions, flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes...are they punishment from the Lord? How do you comfort those who have experienced loss due to seasonal weather or geologic events?

*** I feel sad...cuz earth is a beautiful planet...and men/women have abused their gift from God to care for Everything HE created...The natural devestations be written in the Good Book...Revelations...Lord Jesus says..."Watch"...be Ready...for when these signs of nature occure...then begins the days of Sorrow...
are they punishment from the Lord?
*** Don't know if its punishment...even though it would be justified of Him to Do so...do know that what God says...it happens...All for His Glory...not ours...
How do you comfort those who have experienced loss due to seasonal weather or geologic events?

Nothing Happens on this Planet without God�s Permission�not a blade of grass moves without His Consent. God could have pushed Hurricane Irene out to sea with the slightest �Flick� of His Finger�yet He did not.
It is the same with Hurricane Katrina. God has Protected this Country and Guided this Country since her Inception. Through History you can SEE God�s Hand in Our Rise to Being the Greatest Country in the World.
Many times (and I do mean Many Times)�this Country has stood on the Brink of Disaster or Failure (often in the First 100 years alone) and through Two World Wars (which in the last One we came within an Eyelash of Losing). Throughout all this God has been there by Our Side.
Now�I feel that God as become so DISPLEAED with us that He has Protected us Less and Less. Beginning with 9-11 God has ALLOWED us to TASTE the Bitterness and Horror of not only Man�s Inhumanity�but of Nature�s Fury and Anger at her Raping.
No...God does not (in my opinion) Punish us�although He Most Certainly Can and would be Justified in doing so!
No�my Brothers and Sisters�God is Sending us a Message�and it Reads:
�Long have I held back my Hand from Thrashing you. You have Offended ME and have Mocked my Generous Love. I have Waited Patiently like the Loving Father that I AM�yet I cannot Wait any Longer.�
�Prepare Yourselves! Your Time grows Short. My Day is Near.�
�There are Many of you that believe you have an Inheritence Coming to you. I Say to you�I Once Called you�My Children!
I Once was Overjoyed by Your Faith and Obedience. You Once Touched My HEART and there was much TREASURE I had Prepared for you.�
�But�you did not Remain that Child that I First Saw at the Beginning of �Your Walk� with My Beloved Son. No�you Succumbed to The Lies of the dark one and Have Listened to your Own Thoughts and Have become as a god.�

I have to Remind you that if it was not for the USA shedding the Blood of its Sons�you would be Speaking Deutsch now. Wait a minute�that is what is spoken in Denmark�Ya?
Anyway�we once were The Greatest Country without a Doubt and I Believe that it still is.
When the Crazed Despots of The World Attempt to Conquer The World�it has Been The USA that has Shouldered the Brunt of the Load in bringing them Down.
There is American Blood on over half of Europe�s Soil to Attest to that�so�Allow me to Boast and Say�

The USA has never been the greatest country in the world and never will be....
first of all it does not exist long enough to even run for such a title
and second, with stains like wiping out the Indian cultures and bringing in the slavery and the social distinction between black and white (we are talking 1960ies here).... and not even getting into the terrifying acts in South- and Latin America... you are at best the nowadays Roman Empire.... but that does not make you great...just powerful
And yes you are right about one thing: God never said so... How could He possibly???
Also stop flattering yourself as to the WWII...as it was not the americans .... but the Allied Forces that prevented me from speaking German... Actually Canadians, Polands, English and Brazilians gave their blood and lives for my freedom as well...it says a lot about you that you conveniently forget to mention that!
Also, God is not on the side of the Americans as you so cutely state in your post!!!!!
The only side God ever took was the side of the sick, infirmed, poor and casted out!... exactly the ones that capitalism tends to ignore

So...
You are Saying that the Canadians, Polands, English and Brazilians would have been able to (by themselves) defend your Country and the rest of the World from Germany -- Japan and Italy?
