Jesus hears of Lazarus's death

Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou has been here, my brother had not died.

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou ask of God, God will give it thee.

Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

Martha said unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

She said unto him, Yea, Lord; I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the World.

John 11:21-27 KJV

PJ: Ella you wrote your response as though you where the dead in Christ.

Ella:  yeah PJ, maybe I should have made it a little clearer for those who might not know what I am speaking about... at first glance it does sound like that, but I'm speaking about the debt which is death we all must pay, and some might pay it before Jesus comes, and some might be caugth up to meet Him in the sky... but those who are the dead in Christ (believers) in the grave its going to be a great day when He returns and if we should all be dead in the grave, we will be resurrected from the grave... called forth just as Lazarus to be with Him...:yay:..thank Jude for clarifying that for PJ...lol

This incident of Lazarus Death is also a place where I have thought over and over about. This is where Jesus Wept:

John 11:33-35

New International Version (NIV)

33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. 34 Where have you laid him? he asked.

Come and see, Lord, they replied.

35 Jesus wept.

Jesus was Deeply Movedmoved to the Point of Tears. Was it Jesus the Man or Jesus the Divine God that Weptor maybe Both? Butthe thought of Jesus Crying JesusAll PowerfulInvincibleOmnipotentCrying leaves mespeechless.

Any Man that thinks it is Unmanly to Crythat it is Unseemly to Cryneeds to Read this Scripture.

Jesus LOVES MANKIND! Jesus LOVES US! Never Ever Doubt that!

Ella; Good word Arch. Jesus loved Lazarus as His friend just as He loves us and weeps over us because we are His friends, and when we sin, and for those who are dead in their sins and reject His free gift of salvation, He weeps.

The Bible also tells us that He wept over Jerusalem because of their sins. Something serious to think about to know that when we are displeasing to the Father it makes Him weeps...

This is an awesome passage to know, it is the shortest passage in the Bible...Jesus Wept!... says a lot for all of us to consider.

BTW, Arch, not only does the Lord cries, but we are also told in the Bible that He also laughs...
